My key insert's in right lock but can't turn, left side & truck works. Guessing right key lock tumblers are misaligned?

Further to my previous comment, got the alternator replaced, but found it a much easier job to do after removing the viscous fan with its housing. Literally a 10 minute re and re. Allowed much easier access to the alternator, and importantly, the serpentine belt which had many cracks. The few $$$ it cost for the necessary fan removal tools was money well spent.

Love the garage setup I my self have a 32x48 shop with 10’ ceiling did u raise ur ceiling ur self or was that already like that I have a 2 post installed but poke threw the ceiling and I have a drive on hoist id like to install one day. Love that garage setup

So, up to my elbows in BMW engine this am. Guess he removed all the steering pump plumbing after all. Next to impossible to do the job without doing this. Also makes new part insertion easier.

Do you have a video of n54 swap? Are the n52 engine mounts also suitable for the n54b30a engine? How did you solve the problem with the electronics? How did you connect everything to the bodysuit?

I got stuck with no phone, a dead battery, and no wallet one time in the country while working a job. I used gas tools only but had a few battery operated drills in my trailer. I proceeded to break a radio apart for wire, connect my car battery to a 20v dewalt battery, and start my car after waiting 10 mins to charge. It was a truly great moment hearing that engine just barely turn fast enough to fire. Oh boy.

Those 1:1 size led bulbs are never really good, you need some with a seperate driver and cooling fans. I'm using Novsight N37's and they're much much brighter than my old halogens, now they have a newer model called N60 that are even more powerful

Auxitos are ass! I i purchased some for my fog lights. I reached out to them before purchase to confirm i wouldn't get a canbus error or flickering st start up. They assured me i would have no issues. 🙄 I mean if you don't know just say you don't know. Dont lie.. 🤷🏾‍♂️ Anyway, they sent me some different ones that weren't as bright free of charge. Those didn't work either. I get the error sporadically now and flicker all the damn time. Some of you KZbinrs will promote anything just to get a check. That's how I found Auxito. Another you tuber promoting them for my exact model BMW.... His pants are probably still on fire to this day the wy he be lieing...

I remember using these style LEDs on an older car years ago and came to the same conclusion, the ones I've seen people have good results with come with their own harness and a cooling fan behind the driver to keep them cool and they're a lot more expensive. I haven't tested them, if they'll even fit in these older housings I'm not sure.

They were definitely dimmer than the halogen bulbs, as you said yourself those housings are designed to reflect light emitted from a halogen whereas the LEd is only using a small portion of the reflectors in the housing.

I'm not an e30 guy specifically but an e30 was my first introduction to that beautiful classic bmw look that is such an icon of design from the 70s and 80s into 90s. I give respect to e30s always as they are my introduction to my bmw appreciation without any question.

The e53 30d does it have the smaller bellhousing. 218hp model x5 30d E90models have bigger bellhousing.

Wow, like another of your followers, I was perplexed and at the end of my tether by the time I watched you video. I have an old Alfa Romeo Giulia Super and I renewed the clutch slave cylinder but none of the standard methods of bleeding worked at all. I had a buddy to press the pedal etc.... but I also have a vacuum gun the same as yours but used in the normal way did not work at all. Watch your video, went back in the garage and sucked air out of the master cylinder as per your instruction and bingo perfectly working clutch. I don't know how to thank you enough because I read lots of stuff on the forums and watched a couple of youtubes without success, so you saved the day!!I have subscribed and look forward to any future time saving videos...many thanks, Brian

When we lived in Connecticut, we had our gravel driveway paved by the same company that was doing the streets in our small town. We got a great deal because when they were paving our street, we asked if they could just do our driveway while they already has their equipment there at the location. After the job was completed, i asked the owner of the company(who was on site) if i should seal the driveway each year. I'll never forget what he told me. He said, sealing the driveway is not necessary and it actually will cost you so much more because after you do it ONE TIME, you'll have to do it each and every year. 15 years later, never having our driveway sealed, and it still looks brand new.

Thanks for the video. I've done a bunch of Dana, GM, Ford diffs before so I'm pretty familiar with the rebuild and regear process but this one is strange to me so I have a few questions. Are there no shims for the pinion side? If not, how do you adjust pinion depth to get a proper gear pattern? Also the backlash seems very tight. Most diffs I've built are typically in the range of 0.006-0.010". What is the recommended range for a BMW 188mm diff? Thanks.
