Maybe too late to write a comment, but just came across your video while doing my dissertation on the representation of Egiptomania and colonialism in the stories of Doyle. Just wanted to say that you made a great summary and had lots of great takes on the story! would have loved to hear more about what you think of the story as the analysis was on point. Other professional theorists like "Itsjustjord", "Itstimetotheorize" and "Superhorrorbro" theorized the Ferryman is a servant to the giant red pulsing eye moon Noone saw in chp.6 , that this eye entity is the Nowhere and was hinted since the first game when the Runaway kid came across a globe in the Lady's library, the globe was a giant round flesh eye. They also theorized the glitching in the podcast that occurred every time the Ferrymans words were spoken, was a sign that the Ferryman was trying to break through into the human world, but cant. They theorized Otto's apparatus success in seeing into the Threshold is bad news for all of humanity as it is capable of forming a link between the two worlds that should not have been made, as it endangers breaking the veil, the two way mirror, currently separating the two worlds.

Mayhaps the maw isn't just a physical place but more of a concept. Maybe that's why it's existed longer than the maw itself, it's the idea of it that counts. Or maybe it used to not have the need to pick up passengers untill something lead them to it?

I know a lot of PJO fans were really upset about Riordan taking away the Curse of Achilles from Percy at the start of the Son of Neptune, but I have always held the opinion that it makes the sequel series much more interesting in a narrative sense. Very nice video about this whole situation and trope!

4:26 - The books could kinda explain this with how mythology does change with people's beliefs Like how Helios disappeared from Riordan's mythology, so Apollo became responsible for the sun, and how Romans adopted the Greek gods, the existing entities gained second personalities. So because people began to believe Kronos and Cronus were the same person, you could argue that the mythology adapted to be congruent with this idea. This could also be applied for Achilles later on.
@Arcanestatic

Oh, for sure, I know Riordan's got his plans and internally his deistic web is sound. I just noticed that nobody even mentioned it at all, and that was curious to me.

To be fair, Helios didn't disappear from it, he is no longer around. Apollo mentions Helios a few times, but if that's what you mean (Helios not being present) I get that too.

@@christhompson3301 Faded for people no longer believing in him. I'm guessing in universe, there could have been Cronus at one point, but they 'merged' into one being due to modern beliefs

Bendy is the the game I point to when people ask what an overated game is. I really don't mind if people like the game, but I've seen too people just praise this game like its the second coming of Christ. If you find it scary I don't care because that's your opinion but I've been more scared of a piece of bread rather than a toddler's drawing of mickey mouse.

That's a great question! And the answer *currently* is "when they release enough of the damn game to have explanations available." Presently there's so little that I can actually say anything about without going into tinfoil hat territory, which is... Like I get it, game development is hard and takes time, but what about MY personal feelings? lol

I know this was poster 6 years ago but i think that the planet made the moon into a slime because like you said that the planet has this chemical that allows the slime to make what ever it is i forgot what the name was but technically only after you leave the atmosphere you leave the planet so what if the chemical reached out into three atmosphere and got into the moon and as time went by the moon turned into a slime because if that chemical

12:55 that’s actually super important to keep in mind as LN3 continues development, if gnomes arent all created from the lady or whoever the past current and future lady is; that the gnomes we see in the LN3 trailer might not be a direct connection to the maw or insinuating the presence or accessibility of the maw to wherever lo and alone are when gnomes are encountered!

This was very helpful and comedic! I tried watching other story explanations of The Nutcracker, but it varied a lot and made the story even more confusing. So it was nice to hear the story explained more bluntly and why there's different interpretations. I also liked how you pointed out the funny elements of the story like Clara hitting the Mouse King to death lol. Never underestimate the power of using a slipper as a weapon!

I respectfully disagree with this video and other bad comments because I really enjoyed this game due to doing insane things in past in this game that I did and I get that some people hate this game but this game inspired me and others and they work hard in production into games such as the meatly revealed that it was a pain with boris cause his ai kept taking over. so this is why I disagree

Excellent analysis! Myself, I've always imagined the mummy in Lot no. 249 was probably a warrior in life, or definitely someone who held a high position in society - it is mentioned that he was six feet seven inches tall, whereas the Ancient Egyptians were generally of diminutive stature, by modern standards - so this guy would have been a giant among them, and therefore likely respected and likely served as a warrior, or at least held a position where his size and strength would have been used to intimidate 'lesser' mortals. Possibly this may have been why the scroll was buried with him, so that he could be resurrected from the dead for the purpose of using his brute strength to aid the person who commands him, the spell employed by Bellingham to use for his own ends against anyone he dislikes. And I definitely love the idea of a pulp novel series stemming from this story - I actually had a similar idea way back when I was a kid and first read Lot no. 249, of a film series featuring Smith encountering mummies being brought to life in different situations, and working covertly to stop the Egyptian magic being used for nefarious purposes! I for one would definitely love to read a book series like this, should you write one!
