It seems to me that the noise level is lower when using dedicated recorder like Zoom H1N as oppose to plugging the rolands straight into A6700 as in you recent videos.

@@WilliamHenryAlbert Thanks for the videos. I'm considering system like that for myself as I'm mostly shooting personal videos when travelling with family and I don't have time to prepare perfect rig for every scene. Are they quick to setup with the camera when you're on the go moving from one location to another? Thanks

Tell please, do you feel significant difference between sounds recorded solely on Zoom H1n and Roland cs 10em? I have bought Sony a6700 with 70-350 but have some hesitations about the mic. Some sound engineers whom I have shown it state that the difference is negligible. I'll be grateful for some explanation about the difference. It is lying only in 360 experience or in the quality itself too?
@WilliamHenryAlbert7 ай бұрын
The h1n and cs10em are a similar quality. Yes, the main difference is in the 360 degree sound of the Roland mics which you don’t get with the h1n. I love the immersive sound of the Roland mics but to get the full effect, it’s best played back on headphones or a surround sound system. If you are listening on a mobile phone, iPad or normal computer the the difference is not significant between the two. Thanks for watching.

@@WilliamHenryAlbert Thank you too! I was listening to your video sounds in Sennheiser px100 headphones and was impressed by how voluminous sound is. Sounds appear from the right side, from the left, from back. it is so great. I want to have the same! These microphones are not as expensive. The only thing that I now need to understand is how these binaural microphones are different from regular stereophonic like Sennheiser MKE 440 I was eying before watching your video
@WilliamHenryAlbert9 ай бұрын
@@harry54ck They are different as they fit inside the ear like earbud headphones. The result is that the sound should be true 360 degrees, just like the human ear. The mic is on the outside and the headphone part is on the inside so you have 2 jacks, one that fits in the cameras mic socket and one the fits in the camera's headphone socket. You also don't need a batter for this set up. The MKE 440 looks really good but maybe they wouldn't give such as good a 360 degree sound as the Rolands. The Rolands are a great price too. Here is a nice demo of some nature sounds I recorded a couple of years ago. I have many other videos that have been recorded using the Roland mics. kzbin.info/www/bejne/rqbGfJdjiLand7c
