I'm an advanced skier but not an expert skier by any means...I think I could ski this, but perhaps a bit more conservatively. I'd be concerned with sharks under the surface grabbing at me...especially while moving at a good clip in some of the more sketchy spots.

Don't you think you ought to be wearing a good quality Snell DOT approved helmet on a 65mph bike of any kind?? Like a Bell helmet so when you hit the corner on the cement curb head first at 25mph you won't feel a thing. Is your head worth $500+ ? Or am I out in left field with my thinking on this?

There is a bike mount on the white car in the beginning of the video, is it for the stealth? Cuz it weights a lot. Can you confirm which rack is that and if its okay for the stealth?
@Adventuretoystore
@Adventuretoystore 5 жыл бұрын
no, that's a cheap rack... I have used my Kuat rack with the Bomber, but they suggest 50 lb bike max BUT holds 4 bikes so feel comfortable using the 2 in receiver with 1 bomber... but usually use a single rail motorcycle rail I got at harbor freight for around $130. Use that most often on all my Stealth bikes.... Steve

I'm seriously saving money for this bike but I'm confused about the price. In Australia the price is $9900. In United States the price is still $9900. ? if you go to an exchange rate calculator 9900 = 7236 USD.

Well, lots of factors, road surface, rider weight, honestly even other factors like weather, tuning, aerodynamic position all make a huge difference. I have it on the computer my exact speed... so yes, mine did go 65 mph, our shop it in Draper, Utah with very high density altitude so i'm sure that is 2-4 mph, im light (150 lbs) and have been a Cat 1 biker as well as a US Skeleton team member where areodynamics are huge so get very aero and you go fast! Most will see 55+ out of this bike... There are tweaks you can do to make more speed or more torque etc if you really get into the inner workings.

konard konrado why? chances are if you get hit by a 2 ton item going at 25+ mph the helmet isn't going to help you atleast this way if you die atleast a handful of people will call out drivers for being idiots with no concern for anyone but themselves while driving machines that can easily kill people even cali can't get it's anaylists to say that helmets actually increase safety... hell even a few surgeons have stated that when it comes to car meets bike that helmet is nothing more than a feel good measure according to the UK research it has a negative effect..it makes DRIVERS feel that bikers are safer and thus in less need of being protected for kids..yes they're more likely to get hit in the head via a low speed crash (not being hit by a car) and not legally required in most places to ride on the road we refuse to invest in actual infastructure for cycling like most places are doing...yet we're trying to force helmets on riders because it can save a few lives? why not make EVERYONE wear a helmet then? after all head injury is the most common cause of death for pedestrians being hit by a car..and even one of the leading in car to car crashes
@chinesesparrows
@chinesesparrows 8 жыл бұрын
+josh spradling yeah and since military helmets cant block cannon rounds soldiers should just ditch their helmets... Football players get concussions anyway so they should wear no gear... what an idea. They offer additional safety at certain situations, much better than hair and skin.
@death299
@death299 8 жыл бұрын
Not Joe yeah....try telling a soldier to wear a bicycle helmet in war...they'd just as soon go without it helmets are only useful if they remain within their segment he is riding a glorified dirtbike and JUST like a dirtbike a bicycle helmet isn't going to help when in a car crash moreover while it assists in crashes while on a cycle wearing a helmet increases likelihood of drivers being less cautious..increasing their vicinity to the rider and ultimately putting them in greater danger (and over time we've seen this...as helmet usage has gone up so too has injuries..not because they're ineffective but because they give a false sense of security..increasing reckless riding and increasing driver confidence that they rider will be fine if they get closer) a bicycle helmet is designed for low to medium crashes going over the handlebars or hitting a low speed vehicle at average city speeds and it's not like helmets even decrease the risk of injury..just head injury decreases while neck injury increases the standard safety rating is 13 mph and is assuming that there is only one moving force 2 moving objects at 20+ mph colliding puts the helmet as worthless for anything going 20+ mph on an ebike already makes it ineffective even when just losing control

Again, this was a quick video from my first time riding around the parking lot and was supposed to be limited to 20 mph but the controller was already opened up into comp mode so went a wee bit faster, I would have and always do wear a helmet if had any clue what would happen. Mike X, the folks at Stealth know what they are doing and the bikes are well tested and put through the paces. Check out some of the Pro Moto guys tearing it up on them, they wouldn't risk it if it didn't hold up. The bike is weighted so that the stress and force on the front fork is not a lot more than on a typical downhill mt. bike. I've been riding mine for 2 years with no issues and have not heard of any fork related problems but for sure it is good to check all these things out. I have seem some home built ebikes that are way sketchy, but remember, Stealth is a big solid company doing it for a long time.. hence the price tag, but well worth it! I have the new 2015's on the way and can't wait for my new one! Anyone looking for one, i'll have them in a couple weeks in stock in Utah at eBike Utah

your right, 20 mph on roads. Private roads, race tracks or off road are a different story. "stealth" was chosen for the name for a reason :). That said i've never once had an issue or problem on the road. Be respectful, don't make an issue, don't blow by a police officer at 50 mph on a side road and there isn't an issue. I've had several officers inquire about getting Bombers… they love them!

Costs the same as a Zero, BUT can ride it SOOOOOO many more places. This is what makes it worth every nickle. I ride most mt. bike trails without any issues at all. Can't do that with a Zero and the accelleration on the bomber is WAY faster than the Zero. I was a bit disappointed when I rode the Zero, expected to have to have one as well but will stick to the bomber for now!

Holy moly...I own a Stealth and I have no idea how you were able to hold a camera while going those speeds, I have a hard enough time signaling with one arm! Love my Stealth and I cover about 100-200 km per day doing work stuff, half charge about 2-3 times a day in between stops for about an hour and then I'm off again. I wear full armor, MTB DH helmet and GForm padding on the elbows, hip/tailbone, knees and a 661 spinal vest. You actually get a pretty good workout combining pedaling and throttle. I wore my HR monitor and I burn around 900 to 1000 calories per hour (ride about 2.5 to 3 hours a day), I lost 5 pounds in about 2 weeks. Hard to explain, but the pedaling is really key to reducing your wattage and prolonging your range/distance as well as really connecting with how the bike should be ridden (which is really really awesome....think how Steve felt and that's how I feel everyday). It's literally a cross between Mountain Biking, Downhill MTB, traditional ebike and motorcross bike.

seems we share the stoke. I ride mine now with full moto gear when going off road. Remember this video was shot right out of the crate, was supposed to have the 20 mph limiter on it but for what ever reason they had not hooked it up right so it went a wee bit faster than I was guessing.
