105L I think. Now I’ve changed my light wind board to a Vayu Wing DW 100L 7’0. It starts even earlier!

Do you reckon it is a good foil for a beginner get up on foil and start flying 100kg ?

It might be a little too fast. Could work but a Phantom 1780 or 1480 is probably better for a beginner

Cool video- how do you fix the insta360 pole so it neither wobbles or falls off?

Thanks. I attached it to a 1" pvc pipe. I taped the pipe to the front footstrap and wrapped some tape around the board and pipe close to the front of the board. It did come loose after 45 mins but I had a safety string so I didn't lose it

Love the 1201 pro! Did you run aground when you broke the board leash?

Yes it's great for bigger guys! No I just breached the foil at pretty high speed😅

Thanks for the video. Did my 6th session after Wing foil yesterday apps:50 runs now. am in the same process but I concentrate on hopping onto board with small glide and pump right way. Works some, don’t some. I try to minimize big spills like what I see here, looks like you can get yourselves hurt really bad but least you feel the glides. Hope you got some progression by now😊

any updates? Have you tried keeping your eyes towards your destination instead of looking down? also, running forwards along the length of the dock vs. shuffling sideways helps a lot.

What is going on with your HiPe Pro 5'6 one year later? Is it still in your quiver? Asking sinse I am conisdering the same model and size for my 195 cm/96 kg, would be interested to hear such a long term opinion.

I sold it after using it for traveling. I like my hard board better. It's just easier to ride with better foil control. That said I think the HiPe Pro is a great inflatable. I think the size sounds right for you

@wing__foil
@wing__foil 2 жыл бұрын
I like it a lot. Great for traveling and not a big sacrifice compared to my hard board. It’s nice that you don’t need to be as careful as with a hard board going in and out of the water. You can’t ding it

hello i would like to buy the hype pro 5.8 but i am 105kg riders and i am afraid that is too small for light wind. Do you use your hype pro on light wind (10khnot)?
@wing__foil
@wing__foil 2 жыл бұрын
Hi, it depends on how good you are at pumping. I'm only a few kgs lighter and I can start the 5'6 in 12 knots with my 7m wing. I think you should be okay with the 5'8.

I totaly agree. I am almost beginner with 14 sessions on a hard board 6 foot and 120 liters. With the hipe 5.5 and 145 liters It's a lot more difficult to take off.

Does the board not release as easily or is it a planing speed issue?
@huzcer
@huzcer Жыл бұрын
when you say this board is definitely not for beginners - what do you mean - isn't it about the volume so for someone about 80kg this 115l board would be good?
@wing__foil
@wing__foil Жыл бұрын
The challenge with inflatable boards is that the thickness is the same everywhere. Therefore the volume is not distributed the same way as a hard board making it much more unstable for the same volume
@wing__foil
@wing__foil Жыл бұрын
Mainly a release issue in my opinion
