Hi! Did you had any problems with the AC compressor? I’m really looking into buying one of these but i’m a bit concerned about the possible repair costs.

@@wolly6048 yes. The AC compressor has been replaced a few times. Not it works for several years. You need to find out if the last time, they replaced the AC pump, condensor and flushed and dried the system. Then its a good fix.

@@Xanderdegroot it is technically possible to do this on the T6 / T8 also. Its a bit more work as I need a different aprouch and routing to install. I just don't have the time to experiment with the T6 / T8 (and also did not had 1 in my hands where I aim allowed to play with for a few weeks)

@@beatvine no. They don't suffer from heat. As they don't provide a lot of current. Passive cooling is enough for them. On my FB page you see a picture from a thermal camera after a highway drive in 30°C.

U can also improve your range on the diesel. If u tune it stage 2 it will improve about 15% in consumption IF u drive the same speeds and acceleration

If the car in front don't start within 3 seconds, the car is in pauze mode. I press the repeat button (circular arrow button next to the cruise control and speed limiter button). Pressing the accelerator works also to restart the cruise control.

Hello. I have question, maybe you know, from time to time on my Volvo D6 when im trying to switch to pure mode it writes that temporary pure mode is not available due to limitations. After some time when i drive on diesel engine pure mode is coming back. I want to clarify, this is happening when battery is fully charged and outside temperature was 17 Celsius. I have made diagnostic and there is no errors in hybrid system.

@@ВсеобоВсем-я6и6я yes, they do have that from time to time. That can be a software bug, or an attempt to regenerate the dpf. It will also refuse to drive electric if the diesel is to old (but first you get 5 or 7 days before that a warning to use the diesel engine to consume old diesel. Its not a problem. If that happens, and you realy want to drive electric, then turn of the car, open driver door. And close it. Wait for the clonks of the high voltage contactors in the trunk and then turn the car back on. That will normaly do the trick.

Regarding the regeneration of dpf, are there any indirect signs by which to understand that the car started the regeneration of dpf? on the account of the old diesel, I did not know this, thank you for the information. @@ВсеобоВсем-я6и6я as far as I know, there is no software fix for that bug. During dpf clean, if the battery is low, it will use the ISG to charge the battery to around 50%. Consumption on the highway will be around 10L as its needed to create enough heat to regenerate the dpf. At a certain point, if canceld enough, the car will always drive on diesel until the dpf has a full regeneration cycle completed.

That should also be possible. Its something that I have not done yet. Have not had a S90 available for conversion. (As a first model, will take a lot longer then planned) 1st visit is preplanning (dimensions locations). 2end visit is a long visit, the car needs to stay for several days, as I need to investigate every step and need to make the stuf to fit as I don't have templates yet of that car.

How long would you say the original battery lasts? Im considering buying a 2014 v60 d6 that has 231,000km and has been driven about 30,000km a year most years, only thing im worried about is if the battery has enough life in it for it to be worth spending money on, or should i go for a d5 or t5 volvo instead

@@finnishturtle3059 tough to say. Depends a bit on how the previus owners used it. Stored for some time fully charged or completely flat hurts. If its charged 2 times a day. Thats ok. My 2013 still shows 45km range. Its around 90% of original capacity. Once it drops to 60% you start having problems.

Yes. I swapped the original 24kWh to the 40kWh battery. And then installed a 35kWh battery from a Mazda MX30 in the trunk.

Cheaper getting the van instead of upgrade and the vans will get cheaper next year once the UK government starts charging £300 road tax , that comes in next may. What you pay in Belgium ?

Wish I could have come , would love a good trip :) I have a leaf 30, it's only got 20kwh camacity . The 40kwh battery is about 35kwh capacity , you can drive over 130 miles easily per charge. The single extender increases the original 40km (real range) to a usable 100km. A double extender is not advised as the truck will be almost useful and you need to install increased spring rate and you will suffer from the extra weight (+200kg) in the trunk. A single extender kost 3500€. Right now there is a shortage of the battery I use. So there is a waiting list until I find an alternative (or batteries).

The original power is 68Hp and 200Nm. This does not change. Only the range you can drive is altered. Original range is <50km. Single extender can give you 100km and double extender can go 160km

There are problems with the newer versions of the hybrid version. The diesel version has had a problem with the acpump. They used a wrong ac oil that compromised the insulation of the pump. When flushing the system and drying and replacing the condensor. Its a permanent fix. The charger can also go bad on a high milage/lot of charged car. But that is fixable for a good price in a non Volvo dealer shop.

The normal range extender is to make the car verry usefull for your daily drives if the original range is just not enough to make it home. That way you prevent using the diesel engine cold for only a few km. A double range extender does not make enough sense money wise to do. But if a customer wants it. Who aim I to say no?

Do you have knowledge about original volvo battery assembly? I feel like in my V60 one cell is failing causing lower range for a car. I could not find information how this v60 battery was build. Which manufacturer cells are used in it. Is it LG or something else? Maybe you had opportunity to look into inner parts of original battery ?

Driving 130km/h the consumption is around 6l/100km. I don't know if you drive in the power mode if it still drives in 6th gear or in 5th gear. If it drives in 6th gear its around 6l/100km. If it drives in a lower gear, it will be a bit higher.

All Volvo L5 euro 6 diesel burn 6/6.5 liter for 100km with 120/130 kmh. I have test with my D3 136 2014 v60 manual and D3 150 (remap 190cv/400nm) 2011 manual c70 and confirm with 2.4d 175 version on 2010 s80. With more weight, in city, it's near from 7l than 6. Really good engine without any fatal failure (all my L5 d52xxtx run well after 300.000km, no oil consumption). New L4 very reliable and efficient but horrible noise and lot of oil consumption.

@@Ksk199 the single extender makes that you can drive between 90 and 100km if you can drive between 30 and 40km with original battery. It adds around 60km range. The double extender gives you between 150 and 165km range. I don't like the double extender as you loose almost all bootspace and you need a suspension upgrade. It handles less good as the rear is a lot more heavy then the front. With the single extender you can still drive sporty. With the double extender you need to be a bit more gentle.

Heb je ook aanpassingen aan het onderstel gemaakt? De achteras draagt nu een aanzienlijk hoger gewicht dan oorspronkelijk berekend was. Woon zelf in NL en heb een grote interesse in de V60 Hybride. Zou ik een keer langs mogen rijden om kennis op te doen?

@@Mr.Riffian de achterste veren worden vervangen naar een verzwaarde versie (+30%)bij de dubbele extender. Voor de enkele extender is dat niet noodzakelijk nodig, maar kan altijd gedaan worden op vraag van de klant. Je kan op afspraak (week/weekend) altijd eens langskomen

The bottom left are the high Voltage cables from the battery. Its DC, ranging from 320V to 410V.

The original battery is 11kWh (8kWh usable) and weighs around 130kg. A single extender adds around 110kg and is 16kWh (11kWh usable). A double extender weighs around 230kg and is 32kWh (23kWh usable).

Indien de accu te slecht is, kan je deze altijd laten reviseren voor een paar duizend euro. En dan heb je een zo goed als nieuwe accu. Hoeveel km zegt de boordcomputer dat u kan rijden en hoeveel kan u echt rijden?

I have the D5 variant, still really like this car. I wonder what is your experience with the DPF regeneration. Even though I drive mostly on battery (0.8l/100km on avg) I sometimes use the diesel heater to precondition the car and it seems this triggers the DPF regen every 2-3 weeks. At least that is my assumption since there is no explicit DPF indication, the car just force-starts the engine on ignition (which I can bypass by restarting) OR disables pure mode at high speeds. Would be very interested to know your experience with it

The diesel heater is a fully seperate system. Should not trigger the dpf cleaning. If its trying to clean every 2-3 weeks, that probably means it does not do a full cycle.

If you lay the rear driver seat down. There is an rubber flap that you can fold. Untherneat that is the high voltage service disconnect. Open all doors and trunc. Disconnet 12V then the high voltage.
