It's hard to listen to some of these 80s songs reminding us of another time. A time when people really cared for each other not that much technology. We are lucky to have lived in such an incredible time amen

Open hearts Open eyes Open scars that are left upon Open minds Sacred words Sacrificed Storytellers exaggerate Shallow lies After the hurt has gone away Oh` will we feel the pain After the storm begins to turn Oh` will we ever learn Open doors Open books Tragic stories repeated still Overlooked Chase the wind Catch a breath Watch a child when it falls Helplessness It`s never too late to say a prayer It might be all we got to share There`s always a hope that someone`s there Don`t confirm unless it`s sure Don`t pretend to know a cure Don`t convince the world you`re right Don`t deny you`ve never lied After the hurt has gone away Oh` will we feel the pain After the storm begins to turn Oh` will we ever learn

Early 90s, just a shy teenager listening music on the radio late at night. Here we are now, living in a very complicated world. Beautiful song.

Wow John was such a fantastic song writer, he wrote all the songs. So sad he has passed away 😢 He was The Outfield
@johnboehmer66832 жыл бұрын
Hard to say he was The Outfield, with a truly exceptional lead vocalist like Tony Lewis. As much as Spinks contributed to the success of the group, they weren't going to be anywhere near the same with him on lead vocals.

Written / released before Desert Storm. But if you have it in your mindset while listening to this song, it is haunting. "Don't convince the world you're right. Don't deny you never lied."
