To make fish fertilizer millions of menhaden fish are taken from the ocean and ground up to make this product. If that is okay with you, then use this product. I never use any fish fertilizer, I use compost.

Is this stuff goopy like Alaska brand that takes a ton of shaking? But does that mean you get less 'stuff'?

@@rosskstar No, it mixes very well when added to water. Just as they say it will have a fish smell when added to water. I have had very good results. You can check Out my latest video “Summer tour 2024”

I like to use a 2 gal watering can. So I really don’t measure except if I am using as a foliage spray the I will use less. I try to fertilize every 7 to 10days so I generally will make sure that at least once a month all my plants get a deep watering so depending on the time for dryer months I will water my plants then add my fertilizer with my watering if that makes sense

It depends on the size of your beds. I generally with 11 beds use approx 6 to 8 oz. Total. Also you can also use this fertilizer as a foliage spray and just spray on the plants. By using the canner it allows me to water the roots too. Sometimes as the weather warms up I will water my roots first then use the canner to fertilize both the plants and the roots

I do when it rains. I am actually working on a way to collect rainwater because my plants always seem to grow so much more then watering with a watering system

I use Yara 15-15-15 for my vineyard and orchard, just put it in a spreader and put it out perfect strength for them.

I just bought neptunes tomato fertilizer, shook it up as the instructions told me and when I opened the cap I got quite an electric shock! Anyone else experience this? I may be wearing rubber gloves next time I shake it. 😅

Amen to what you said regarding the rain. I can water till the cows come home, the plants do well enough, but after a really good rain, the difference is amazing. I use the Alaska Fish Emulsion. Its 5-1-1. Just like rain, the plants just do better with it, even though it's only 5-1-1. It's got to be the other ingredients in it, that the plants like it guess.

More cool weather down there than up here in St. Louis? Wow! We’ve been very dry and hot up here in Missouri. Your zucchini are looking great, the females are all open here, but the males are still closed… A few more days and we’ll really get moving. I appreciate you vid and comments,, although results speak louder than words although I believe what you have said here. I have also read that many gardners when blooms are coming on they will switch to N. H> Rose and Flowering 2-6-4 version which I will be trying this season for my tomato plants.

This is great! I just built a raised bed out of scrap wood that we have (my bf is a contractor and has accumulated a bunch) - I actually just put out a video of it if you wanted to check it out 😄 but this video is super helpful, awesome to hear your experience with the different ways you've built/filled your beds!
