At least in gen 1 lv 255 is the maximum, in the later gens you can increase it even further but it works only whit gameshark or the missingno glitch and rare candy i used this code to set him to lv 255 01FF26D1 and this to Replace Missingnos sprite whit eevees sprite 0166D7CF otherwise the game would crash becaus it cant load missingno correct

I had to cut out the parts where the game crashed and the second Pokemon that the rival was using always had to be replaced using a cheat, otherwise that would also cause a crash Tm Trainer ( from his second pokemon) does not crash the game but mutes the ingame sound and re summon the Pokemon) TM 15 from his Glitchy Bulbasaur) crash the Game or does Nothing this is always a Coinflip i removed this Scenes too sorry for the Jumpcuts in this parts
