Tin Machine 2 is such a weird thing for Bowie. It was a total step back. Bowie made the first TM album and proved to the general public that he was not going to continue to be a generic pop star (as much as I love NLMD). Then he did the Sound + Vision tour along with the rykodisc rereleases and reminded everyone how great he was and the public was back on his side. Then he randomly steps back and does a tour with tin machine again (keep in mind most of the TMII tracks were recorded in 89 after the first tour concluded). I think it was one of the few mistakes he made as the general public was ready for a new Bowie album and he just randomly took a step backwards and did another Tin Machine album which I honestly don’t know if anyone wanted. Don’t get me wrong I love TMII and it’s far superior to the first TM album but it doesn’t make any sense. With BTWN there is at least the explanation that he needed to make a new pop album to get himself a new record label. It took another decade for Bowie’s work to finally become commercially successful again with Heathen and I can’t help but feel like that would’ve happened sooner if TMII sessions had been aborted and these songs reused on future albums (similar to Toy).

Heavy debut for this band and they didn't disappoint, that Hunt drummer is good and looks bad ass, before he got that gay looking bleached white haircut.

Arguably the sexiest he ever looked... This foray deserves a new look, as it's one of Bowie's rockiest efforts, writing some good songs

I so wish that the studio recording of this song had allowed that last ring out on "Ziggy plaaaaaaaaaaayed". Holding that word for just a little longer makes all the more impact.

I have no Idea who is getting the royalties on his estate - if there is someone who knows ( I believe he sold his rights for many millions - however I know that his most beautiful wife is such a blessing as are his children - if there was some charity associated with his estate that would benefit from a you tube play we should have all the 5 year olds put it on repeat on poppa's i pad

I somehow doubt Bowie's nearest and dearest will ever be hungry and homeless! I LOVE Bowie but he and his family are not charity cases your comment is ridiculous.
