I can hear the wind a blowing in my mind Just the way it used to sound With a Georgia pine You were there to answer when I called You and me, we had it all Remember how I used to touch your hair Reaching for the feeling, that was always there It was the best thing in my life I can recall You and me, we had it all Well, I know that we can never relive those times again So I let these dreams take me back to where we've been I'll stay with you, girl, as long as I can Oh it was so good when I was your man I'll never stop believing in your smile Even though you didn't stay, it was all worthwhile You're the best thing in my life I can recall Girl, you and me, we had it all You're the best thing in my life I can recall Girl, you and me, we had it all

Yes, definitely ol skool country, not like most of that bubble gum pop wanna be cowboys crap that’s paraded as country these days. Plus Whitey sings about, booze, blues, weed, and cocaine…. Not hardly anyone else in country brave enough to go down that road. It’s become all chain wallets and tattoos.

Still Drunk Still Crazy Still Blue Well the broken part of me and this trouble so hard and this washed up way of livin' since we been apart and after all we been through and even after I lost you I'm still drunk, I'm still crazy, I'm still blue You know sweat gets so cold alone every night There ain't nothin' on TV You know nothin' ain't right I been rollin' and rollin' honey all the night through I'm still drunk, I'm still crazy, I'm still blue Still drunk, I'm still blue, I'm still all tore up over you I'm still stoned I'm still alone I'm still wrong... Well the wasted part of me is this ol' trouble so hard and the wasted part of you is your half filled up heart We been rollin' and rollin' honey all our lives through Still drunk, still crazy, still blue I'm still drunk, still crazy, still blue

I put the lid on these pills, gave away that cocaine I couldn't drink another whiskey to kill all this pain Your leaving left me damned down in this hole And it's hard to get high when you're feeling this low Another night on the rocks and I can't be found Another night with this bottle and my lonesome low down Well you tore me apart, I turned loose in my soul Ain't it hard to get high when you're feeling this low? And I wait for the day maybe I'll see the light And get on over you, but it won't be tonight Through the smoke and the neon, don't that old jukebox moan And it's hard to get high when you're feeling this low Another night on the rocks and I can't be found Another night with this bottle and my lonesome low down Well you tore me apart, I turned loose in my soul Ain't it hard to get high when you're feeling this low? Ain't it hard to get high when you're feeling this low? Ain't it hard to get high when you're feeling this low? Ain't it hard to get high when you're feeling this low? Ain't it hard to get high when you're feeling this low? Ain't it hard to get high when you're feeling this low? Ain't it hard to get high when you're feeling this low?

Sometimes I don't know where This dirty road is taking me Sometimes I can't eve know the reason why So I guess I keep a-gamblin' Lots of booze and lots of ramblin' It's easier than just waitin' around to die One time, friends, I had a ma I even had a pa He beat her with a belt once 'cause she cried She told him to take care of me And headed down to Tennessee It's easier than just waitin' around to die I came of age and I found a girl In a Tuscaloosa bar She cleaned me out and hid in on the sly I tried to kill the pain, bought some wine And hopped a train Seemed easier than just waitin' around to die A friend said he knew Where some easy money was We robbed a man, and brother did we fly The posse caught up with me And drug me back to Muskogee Now it's two long years I've been waitin' around to die Now I'm out of prison I got me a friend at last He don't drink or steal or cheat or lie His name it's Codine And he's the nicest thing I've seen And together we're gonna wait around and die Together we're gonna wait around and die

Christ forgives and he is the way. I was a drunkard and a drug addict. I blared this song when I burnt all my bridges with my baby mama and my family. 1 year sober of alcohol and 3 years off drugs.still love this song though it reminds me to stay on the straight and narrow
