Lovely! I have 33 and 303 and QUAD radio bought in1982. Still going Strong QUAD are great at fixing small problems quickly from factory in Cambs! I cannot afford 57s or 63s. I have TANNOY 611s and missions! My accustic Research AR 4s got damp! (Paper Drive diaphragms) Shame!...Love Nat King Cole Best to you from Warton Lancaster

Crazy good idler driven table. Heavy, solid build, low friction, quiet parts and excellent main bearing give a good sound. My only gripe with these classic Duals was that snap in cartridge adapter which compromised rigidity and electrical contact. The arm is otherwise superb.

Spekulativ, dem rumpelgeräusch nach zu urteilen, handelt es sich bei dem Model um einen Rändelradantrieb, da das Laufgeräusch doch ziemlich laut ist. Ähnlich bzw genauso wars beim Lenko L 75 zu hören. Stabil, zugegeben aber ab Riemenantrieb wurde es besser. Spitzengerät seinerzeit, ( unter vielen) war dann der direkt Antrieb von Dual mit seinem moving coil System. Hifi Krieg der Hersteller, höher, größer, weiter ! MC Intosh die nur gegen Referenzen ausliefern, am Anfang.

I am on my way to buy a pristine PEL Integrale v1 pair - The soundstage is beautiful. A very detailed and fluid midrange and treble. They seem to be easy to power and offer low directivity. I can't wait to pick up mine. This will be a major upgrade from my little Pioneer SP-FS52 for listening to my records.

Finaly I got my PEL Integrale v1 - They do sound very impressive. The drivers used in them somewhat and they are of high quality and deliver accurate sound when combined with the proper filters. They use a minimalist filter. Very simple, but obviously get the job done extremely well providing highly detailed sound. I could not be happier by the sound from these speakers. What's more, they allow me to discover the good and bad pressings in my record collection. For those lucky enough to find them in an ad, don't hesitate to buy them if you can afford it.

Legendary speaker. I've owned two pairs. In fact in 1976 I bought my first brand new pair of MA4s with a Kenwood KA-8006 amp which sparked the audio bug that still persists to this day..

Tangent TM1 is an excellent two way featuring KEF drivers with astonishing bass extension. One of the most successful designs to eliminate the "bextrene quack" ... a coloration endemic to KEF bextrene woofers. With judicious use of EQing in the crossover the TM1 sounds very uncoloured if a trifle lean. I owned a pair some years ago and miss them.

Imagine anyone under 40 listening to this and knowing who these two legends are? Glad to see someone else who goes back to the old school and plays quality music that was well performed and produced through a proper system. Warm brandy/whiskey in the hand and eyes closed. You can't teach that anymore sadly.

@@hungvlv true but the joy of a good sound system is just that.a joy. Two ears, two speakers set up to give a perfect stereo image leaving you in the hands of the engineer! I can't be beaten. I've had nights thinking someone was knocking my door only to realise it was on the track I'm listening to. Lucky my daughter has had it drilled into her so fingers crossed maybe we can continue this just a bit for future generations. I don't hold out much hope though. 👍

I used to own a pair of MA4s, one of my favs from back then. Strange driver arrangement on the baffle makes positioning them a bit of a challenge but set up properly the sound is ultra smooth and clean as well as dynamic surpassing just about anything made at the time. MA has employed special damping in the Isophon tweeters behind the domes and even in their surrounds and they sound both smooth a silk and clear if a bit forward in the mids. A crossover parts upgrade really enhances them. You are lucky to find these rare but superb speakers.

@@hungvlv I've heard and sold ESL 63s ,but not the 57s. For those who like them, they'll be unlikely to deviate towards anything else except for perhaps something a little more discreet to keep their spouses happy.
