@OldNerdPlayingOldPCGames I too am becoming increasingly disillusioned with hack & slash games. I was really interested in diablo 3 back in the day, because I loved 2, but overall I have to say Diablo 3 is a disappointment. It's very much about grinding and they made the characters and bosses in it less cultish. I'll go through it with a big sulk, but I'll reach for 2 a lot sooner than 3. Diablo 2 resurrected on the other hand is a really nice work from blizzard. Excellent example of how to revamp a cult game. I can recommend it with a good heart. I can understand the expectation that it can only be played online, in a way that it is a way to prevent illegal downloads. Basically the single player part is not particularly affected by this. Blizzard's activity over the last 10 years is really divisive, but overall I still stand by them because they have been able to make games dear to my heart over the decades, but the fact is that I am less and less captivated by their novelty. I also tried Diablo 4, but unfortunately it didn't suck me in one bit. WoW is a big favourite of mine, it used to take up many hours of my life :)

@@infinitegamingspace Yeah, my personal favorite is the first Diablo. I somehow loved that feeling of despondency, while you are unable to run and use all those superman abilities. So it was more focused on a slower, tactical approach. Maybe that's just my subjective feeling. I enjoyed Diablo 2 soo much of course as well, also with buddies on LAN parties. Finished it with LoD many times. But that vibe of Diablo 1 was forgotten in time, imho.

Yes, it's really just about having fun :) AI is here for now, but it's interesting to think what it might bring in 5-10 years from now. Glad you liked it :)

@@hanarielgodlike9283 in the original starcraft game, you don't come in contact with the protoss for a long time. The Terran has psychic powers but it hasn't been revealed yet that they created the arachnid breed to battle the protoss.

Not sure though, I don't feel very comfortable trusting the judgement of anyone who uses the crying-while-laughing emoji. Either way, it perfectly fits the old sci-fi movie aesthetic.
