Hi we’re driving from Halifax Nova Scotia to visit Six Flags New England this Aug 10 (Saturday) how’s the crowd during this time of the year? Thank you
@IlluminatingDestinationsАй бұрын
That's awesome! Saturdays in July and August are definitely very busy. I have found that "rope dropping" (arriving just before the park is scheduled to open) will allow you to get in at least one or two of the most popular rides before it gets too crazy. I will also say that usually the Hurricane Harbor (water park) area is the most crowded so that's where you'll really see long lines consistently through out the day. The lines on the "dry" side of the park are typically much more reasonable until Hurricane Harbor closes at around 6pm. After 6, some Hurricane harbor folks will leave but many will stay for the last few hours and lines on the dry side will stay pretty long. For the dry side, the Super Man roller coaster usually has the longest line by far so getting that done early is a good idea if you want to do it. Hope you have a great time!

@larssandvik13472 ай бұрын
@@laurieritchie6791 well I will tell you number one was the customers that it attracts. I actually was a witness and had to sign a criminal complaint against some 17-year-old that was drunk and trying to pick up 11 year-old girls. Running up and down my hallway, screaming secondly, the cabins on this ship are in terrible condition I had trouble in one neighborhood with children running up and down the hallway nonstop, so I complained and complained and complained, and they finally originally said there was no cabins, but after complaining about it for two days, finally mistakenly found another one I moved there and that’s where the above criminal thing happened. The food was lousy. The drinks were of the cheapest caliber just all around poor management. Honestly, there’s so much better cruising out there. I don’t know what a veteran cruiser means I literally have close to 4000 days 1800 days on Celebrity and more than 2000 on royal Caribbean alone let alone a few hundred on Cunard and Holland America. I stopped, cruising on Royal Caribbean, except for my free cruises they still owed me due to the out-of-control children, and just general very low class. after corona everything has changed hopefully you have better luck, but I doubt it

Wish you could have showed the line signs for a long enough time to read them like that wheelchair sign right as you walked into the terminal. Like Haven/Suites, CAS, Priority Access. So many reps on the phone say oh the signs are at every port and I rarely see anything other than the Haven guest line signs.

Excellent .. thank you. You mention the muster drill but I am still unsure how it works. Please explain in more detail. Steve
@IlluminatingDestinations4 ай бұрын
On some cruise ships they will actually have you physically walk to your muster station - in our case the Magenta Dining Room - when the alarm sounds. However for our cruise, they just told us to check in at our muster station at some point on the first day and as long as we did that, when the alarm sounded, we could just stay where we were rather than walk over there.
@LaszloBagi4 ай бұрын
On NCL you will be given links to watch a safety video after you do your online checkin. When you board the ship you will be instructed to go to your muster station. On our last cruise they had someone there as soon a we boarded who scanned us in

When ate after boarding, did you have to pay for your food? Assuming you hadn't left port yet.
@IlluminatingDestinations4 ай бұрын
Nope! All of the food at the complimentary restaurants is free, even right after you get on. The only thing we did have to pay for was tax on any drinks. For example, we had the soda package so if we had already left, we would not have paid anything, but because we were still in Boston, we had to pay $0.50 for tax.

@IlluminatingDestinations4 ай бұрын
We did not end up using our full 150 minutes of free WiFi but whenever you do turn it on, you burn through it pretty quickly. I'd say, if you're ok not being online, you'll be fine but if you need it to do work or want to do social media posts or send emails every day, it might be worth it for you. We were able to use our international phone package to use the internet with cellular when we were docked so we only used the WiFi on the At Sea days, and sparingly at that.

We are sailing the Gem May 10th so this was helpful! I've only been on Carnival cruises. Did you do anything on Bermuda or Maine? Some people were questioning if people got off the ship in Maine at all.
@IlluminatingDestinations4 ай бұрын
Thank you! My videos about what we did in Bermuda will be coming soon - there's a lot of great stuff to do both through NCL and on your own. I haven't done a cruise to Maine yet so I can't speak to how many people usually get off but I know visiting Acadia National Park is usually a popular thing to do there and many cruises include an option to visit there as part of the excursions they offer. Hope you enjoy the cruise!

@@IlluminatingDestinations I’ve been to Arcadia a few times. I grew up in Maine lol! Did you ever have the opportunity to do the dining in the dining room that’s free?
