This interview and line of questioning just goes to show the level of dehumanization MJ went through, specifically in the early 2000’s. It was so normalized to treat him like a nonperson who lacked feelings. such as the capacity to love and be loved, in this case. I give LMP a slight pass because she clearly was very hurt and bitter about the marriage and how it ended, it’s extremely personal and emotional for her. Diane Sawyer exploits this and eggs her on to badmouth him to fit into the popular sport at the time- dehumanizing MJ. It’s all very sad and shameful really.
