Coven go mediocre already on the second album. What a shame.

I actually prefer this album over the first, mainly because it closes with their signature song One Tin Soldier; although it's a "new" recording and not the same version as heard in Billy Jack

As good as the first album was (minus the boogie tracks), this one is just fogetable, verging on sheer badness. Thank you for the upload all the same.

One of my favorite bands to crank when I ran a garbage route. Kept my day trucking along in the groove, and I didn't have to worry about anybody getting offended over lyrics. It made for a couple interesting moment whenever a customer would be digging it and asked who that is. 😅

My dad was part of this band they made a mistake on it's name in the jacket inside cover... His name is Jean-Marie Walsser and not Waltzer. ⚔️

All the first three Coven's album are masterpieces. I can't really understand why they didn't get the credit they deserved at the time. Nothing to envy to the bigs of the era, neither technicalwise nor songriting wise.

Again, Jinx is an incredible singer, going from sounding like Grace Slick to hitting high notes like Minnie Ripperton to Mariah Carey. Obviously, she was never smoking cigarettes!

The original Coven album rules, but the almost mainstream traditional rock catchiness of this one has a place in my heart as well (especially Washroom Wonder). It reminds me of Ghost’s approach to devil music, except the tongue-in-cheek nature and playful Satanism started here, decades prior, even in response to studio pressure, or maybe even because of it. Ave Satanas!

Their timing was horrible. They released a satanic-themed album at the same time as the Tate-Labianca murders. That was just begging for an avalanche.
