im playing pretty bad actually. but the answer to your question is practice. if you practice a lot this kinda stuff will come naturally to you and there's tons of guides on the net that you can use to learn how to play better, or you can join the puyo discord and ask around for advice

I feel like thats the point. The green ones exist to hype up the red guys and show how far you've come. Earlier in the game one boss was a knight of this same level, so seeing this regular grunt shit on him is the games way of showing that
