Love this. Want to send it to our guitar player - I don't want to hurt his feelings, but he has terrible timing - and for some reason, he ignores me (the drummer) and just keeps going doing his own thing, all off time. We all like him, he's very nice, but how it is he isn't hearing the drums, none of us know. He also keeps changing the length of the guitar solos every time we play the songs - for some of our songs, that's ok, i can hear where he's going to end. But for some of them, I need to know 3 bars early when he's going to end because there's a drum part that has to perfectly line up. And suddenly, the solo is two bars shorter than expected, or 6 bars longer. It's really frustrating. I saw one video where Prince gave the drummer a signal two bars before he planned to end his solo - that kind of communication is really helpful. Thanks for educating guitar players on how to play with a drummer! Everyone sounds better when they're in sync, and it doesn't matter who thinks the other one should just "figure out" what to do - communication makes sure the whole band knows what's happening when, and sounds good AS A BAND.

awesome, thanks so much. learned it in less than an hour! (learn is a loose statement, i can fumble my way from beginning to end, but dang I love those songs that don't take so long to!)

My playing, the circle of 5ths changed everything. Every song you teach, toss in the circle of 5ths. It goes past how you play it, to why you play it this way…. Thanks for the video, I’m trying to learn that keyboard lick. This was very helpful, as you put me on the right path. 🤘
