1 monitor best is on 144hz (240hz i cloud use but its not worth it, i cant see a dif. arround over 100hz so i cap every game on 120fps) 2. Monitor on 60hz so its not stealing so much performance

The first horizon didn't support hdr. On the ps5 you are now able to enable hdr on every game even though they dont support it. Not a single one looked good in my opinion. (I have no idea about the pc port)

Pixel density, high nits, srgb 100%, hdr, is more important to me

Worth it to skip 1080p/1440p and go straight to 4K. Anything around a 3080/7900gre is going to play most games above 60 FPS on Ultra settings. Even when playing 1st person shooters you can always reduce the resolution for higher FPS.

Its because older games where build without HDR in mind and they had a more artistic/colorful style to stand out. HDR just strips that vision and makes them dull, however most newer games do look great with HDR. You can really see how some games get affected if you play backcompact games on the series X and mess with the auto HDR. personally higer frame rates and a strong art direction are way better than most HDR, Raytracing and Realistic graphics.

I wonder if the 5090 will make 4k worth it. Im building a new pc after its released & idk if i should get a better +oled 1440p or oled 4k. I mainly play FPS games.

This is deliberately deceiving because HDR is not that dark in Horizon.

I do think there are rapidly diminishing returns with 144 to 240hz though.

I thought HDR like full colouring. I kinda didnt liked the colourfull thing like that. Isnt too bright too shining.

upgrade my monitor? with what money? xD on that note, as long as you're used to 60hz and don't expose yourself to higher you can get along.

isn’t it laggier on the 60hz side bc of the different changes on both sides of the screen? i’m confused

HDR is great, colors are vibrant, some games are perfect for HDR and the visual experience outstanding. This HDR is wrong, something os not working for you.

You can't see the difference if you're not watching on a HDR display, but it's not just that there are more colour bits per pixel, with a good display there's an increase in actual brightness and darkness. The difference between HDR and regular RGB massive and definitely worth it.

Sweet spot is 120 Hz, anything more, human wont see the difference. A rule that I have heard earlier and stand by. On the other hand, as I gamer, since 2001 using 60Hz monitor and upgrading to 120Hz I shall say it is eye candy. Specially with 27'' 1440p resolution monitor. Quite lovely I say
@mrbradley16 күн бұрын
there’s no “sweet spot” in the monitors refresh rates, so cringe… The higher - the better. And even 165Hz is feels much more responsive and smooth than a 120Hz, leave alone 240Hz+
