My garden here in Missouri isn't doing good either. No cucumbers no tomatoes. No green beans just corn and not very much of that. Your house is coming along I haven't been able to start on mine prices for stuff is so high. Keep up the good work you guys are getting there.

Tomatoes like dappled light - they grow better under shade cloth and out of full sun. They're native to forested south american climate - specifically the Andes Mountains , in the northern climates where we don't have such a long hot growing season they tend to do quite well , but the tomatoes I grow in big pots on back porch (south eastern exposure and shaded part of the day by trees or the house) do far better than the tomatoes we keep out in the full sun garden. I want to get a hoop house myself for our back yard garden for tomato growing (Taters do phenomally, though) which I plan to cover the hoop house in shade cloth that lets rain in to water the garden while keeping the pants from full hot sun..

Interesting, I had no idea that tomatoes were native to forested areas. For some reason I assumed they liked full sun. Guess I should not assume things and do more research.

I am surprised at the low horsepower. I have the Frontier OS31 and a Kohler 14 horsepower and that is barely adequate. If the motor ever fails I would definitely up to at least 20hp. Also. You need to get that mill up to crotch height. All that jumping up and down adds to the workload and time. My trailer was expensive but all the jumping up and down and crawling under just made me realize it was worth it. Good luck and eat your Wheaties!

Hang in there. You WILL PERSEVERE!!! Sorry to see you having to come up with "work arounds" for what was represented to be an easy to assemble, all parts included Hoop House. Most of us have to deal with "phone (non) support" people, frequently with an accent that is difficult to understand, who know nothing except what the script on their computer tells them. Many times, after listening to the script being repeated with nothing helpful forthcoming, I just give up and hang up. Then to rub salt into the wound I get an email requesting a positive review. Guaranteed they don't want to hear what I have to say...

I know where you are coming from, you speak to a complete dimwit, who only answers the phone, has no knowledge of the product they sell, as helpful as a chocolate fireguard. Got your hard earned cash, could not give a sh... I have dealt with companies like that and get as angry and frustrated as you have. You have got the know-how to put it right, I have seen you do far more complicated projects than this... stuff em and do it your way. Kumquats make great marmalade. That thorny sprout from the lemon rootstock is a sucker. The peach tree sprouts should fruit a lot of small clingstone peaches that are great for pickling, but not tasty fresh.

@@ThirdTimeAroundRanch I’m referring to the tree that died back to the ground. The sprouts are coming up from the rootstock, which is generally from a heirloom clingstone. Sorry for the delayed response.
