The modern town and city shopping centre is in decline due to high business rates, reduced footfall as a result of people preferring to shop online and loads of other factors. So Knowle Community Party (KCP) pushing for a new multi million pound redevelopment of Broadwalk, saying things like new bars and cafes will help regenerate the area is a load of rubbish. They (KCP) also say things like £30 million will have to be spent before a single brick has been laid - what's this for?, do Developers have to be bribed first before they begin a project (and they will probably go bust and never finish the project). They have also said that this £30 million is a "modest sum"!!! I don't know which world they live in but it is not the world of the majority of people in Knowle. £30 million is not a modest amount and should be used to build and provide low cost social housing not invest in the old model of building new shopping centres that will soon fall into disrepair from a lack of footfall and increasing operating costs.

Years ago, my husband abused me. I was 18 and stupid. When I was finally fed-up, I put a ton of laxatives in his hot chocolate. Then when he went to work, I packed up and went to my parents. I had a 1 year old son. When my EX husband came to get me a few days later, he was greeted at the door by my father, casually holding his gun. True story.
