Have you sent it in for an rma? Looking at your video upload date that would probably be a no. I sent mine in and got a refurbished one back. Kind of stupid to return a new one and get a used one back if you asked me. Honestly, the refurb works way better than the new one I had. Keys are springy, lights work good, and no prob with the windows media spamming me. Other than the scratches from trying to shine the keyboard before being sent out it works pretty great.

It does that to me too !! Like some times I play and then I look at my keyboard and the lightning is off. Is your music changing itself some times ? Like some times I listen to music and it starts to change like crazy and it's really frustrating ! -.-

I've got a 2012 version for 3 months now and it's backlights are flickering. Even right now as I'm typing this. This keyboard design is pretty awesome in my opinion but the quality control in putting this together definitely sucks. Ruins the whole gaming mojo when you have to constantly look down because the dang lights are flashing. Other than the flickering everthing else is fine.

awesome post. i had the same problem as OP and this was a really quick fix for the issue!

I know this is an old vid, but if by chance you threw this kb in the closet instead of the trash... the problem is the touch panel itself. You have to either remove the touch panel entirely or bend the pins (so the touch panel remains, but is unplugged) You can do this while it is plugged in, I waited till it was lit up fully, then unscrewed the panel that plugs into the touch panel, raised it enough to unplug, unscrewed and removed the touch panel. unplug the kb, plug it back in and done.

@TheLondonGuy123 No sir, I've had mine since they came out. They have never had a cycle "auto" function. The drives only show the ones I listed above. The old Tarantula might have, never owned it, but the lycosa never did.

@TheLondonGuy123 Lycosa doesn't have auto... WASD On Off It doesn't have a cycle like the black widow does

Put a quarter on the razer logo on the top right and it'll all stop. Your audio controls won't work, but it stops all the lights.

I think that is consider a small problem...i have a bigger problem... the key is either too responsive or not responsive at all sometimes...when i installed the software....the media key got problem...it keeps on poping out!! just sent mine for RMA and i have to reconnect my usb...anyway..it is quite a common problem though...the touch pad fails...!!
