Years ago there was a Dodge truck that looked like this one hauling pulpwood to the mill, don't know what engine it had but the other pulpwood truckers knew that if they saw a ugly red Dodge in their mirrors they would soon see his taillights .

Mine won't start. I took it out of the box and set it up. Fresh gas, and nothing. Not a puff from the engine. Any suggestions?

Well I think I mentioned in my comments the spark plug blew out after a few hours of use. So it was not tightened properly from factory. Good luck. 👍

Back in the day when Detroit came out with the 8V71 318, they were big power. Cummins big engine was the 290, still a lot of 220s and 250s on the road.

@@vabrad76 No worries! I still found this video very educational and useful! Appreciate it. I ended up taking mine apart piece by piece carefully. Took a while and I still didn't end up finding it. 😂 Found something where one was suppose to be but it did not look like a normal spark arrestor lmao

It doesn't matter what vehicle you have, somebody will find a way to race it. Also, the fact that those two-stroke Detroits sound basically like muscle cars when the throttle is pinned makes them even more awesome.

These trucks are to small for a 318 engine block I know a person with one of those and it had a 238 in it they're beefed up the 238 & the 318s sounds totally different

Music to my ears! Reminds me of following Coast Guard 40 footers powered by a pair of 6-71s. Best on a calm, foggy morning, looking straight into those 4" pipes straight out the stern!!

Dodge made the worst Chinsey Cab ever put on an American Truck FWD used them since m 1964 before that they used a far better Internatinal Cab.. then about 1971 FWD made their own Cab that was very Tolerable
