This song was released in 1960 so the performance is probably from about that time making Tina about 21 years old in this video.

@@halewich This was from a tv show called ‘Hollywood a Go Go’. This episode was dated April 24, 1965. Tina was 25 here. 😊

As a young teenager in the late 60's, for me, Ike and Tina and the Ike-ettes brought solid sex to the screen. Pretty girls,, all that energy, those outfits, and legs, legs, legs. I still remember the first time I saw them on TV. I had never seen anything like THAT before.

Ike was a musical genius. Tina would never have become famous without his orchestrations.

When you listen to the song lyrics and then take into consideration what Tina shared with us of their relationship and then listen to her singing. Wow. But at the end of the day, we all know how her story ended . . . and thank God for that.

Dick Van Dyke clowning while Ike and Tina Turner band performing was rude and disrespectful - NOT funny at all. They would NOT do that if Dick Van Dyke was performing.
