Wow an absolutely gorgeous song. This gem was play in our wedding dvd . Frank Mc comb sounds a bit like Donny Hathaway. Hathaways voice was as clear as water and this guys got it too. Ohio is the home of funk ,my fav kind of music. Yet I didn’t know they had silky soulful crooners as well. Great singer great song .

Going into is Jobim's version better than Peterson's cover or the other way around is something like the old debate that caused many skulls to be crashed whether angels are female or male. (Today I'm sure some would even suggest to consider whether they aren't X or whatever...) Folks, it's very personal and hence subjective. Good taste ain't astro-physics. Just enjoy whatever version you like most and stop with all that testosteron-soaked discussion-thing.... Grrrrr....

This song's composer, Antonio Carlos (Tom) Jobim, considers Oscar's version of this iconic masterpiece to be the greatest of all covers of the song. And, BTW, many of the world's greatest pianists have tackled the song at one time or another.

Near perfect rendition, although the excellent sound of Oscar's piano play appears somewhat offset by that of the bossa nova background. The mixing of sounds deserves an overhaul.
