I think that you are supporter of more classic choreographies. I think that Yang Yuhong and Ma Guoliang are the best choreographers, because they don't follow the standarts of CWA. Of course this is my opinion.

i don't know if this is different from school to school, but in mine, when we train nangquan we are not suppoused to do the hits with our elbows completely stretched like he does sometimes, like in the position at 2:02, except for that little detail, it's amazing

Great video! The technical and athletic level is outstanding. Worldwide, generally only Russians compare to the level of China. However I can't avoid the conclusion that Wushu is getting more and more dissociated with Martial Arts, and associated with Gymnastics and acrobatics. I know what I'm talking about because I have been a chinese martial arts athlete and teacher for 25 years. I participated in Nan Gun European Competiton in 2002. I studied Nan Gun in Beijing. The form has changed a lot!

I doubt any real fight in history among martial artists of any discipline was ever fought with this kind of exhibitionist dancing. If it was I can tell right now who lost the fight.

@PDZ1122 flashy moves, unnecessary jumps? Sure. Still kicks your ass easily? Of Course. look at those muscles, built with explosive power, none of those body builder bullshit. also, lots of those moves come from actual applicable combat moves, repeat them as much as he did, u use it as instinct in a fight.
