You turn off your flash, expose for the background and then turn on the flash for expose for the subject?

@@IgnusDraco1 yes. Then you can expose for the subject by either adjusting your settings either within the camera (I.e, adjusting your ISO…higher ISO will yield stronger flash), or on the flash itself (I.e, flash compensation).

Ahhhhh, very good tip, use as less flash as possible and increase the ISO to allow the dim background to show !!!

Exactly! There are a few other ways, as mentioned in the video; but definitely a quick way to get that nice bokeh in the background.
