The Husky plays on cement in summer and they wear way down. She would have to sedated to be cut! The Chihuahua gets hers done at the groomer. I don't have good enough eyesight to do it myself.

Wow!! That's big!! I had a 134 pound German Shepherd. All muscle! A big lap dog too! I've never had a dog that hated to be brushed. The next Husky puppy I get, I will start brushing them at 8 weeks old so they get used to it. They are my favorite breed as well but I do really love Goldens and GSD's because I've had one or the other my whole life. I love my little Chihuahua too but never thought in be a mom to one!!! But here I am 12 yrs later with my little Winnie. I rescued her at 3 months old. She's an amazing girl and has taught proper dog pack behavior to many dogs.

@HuskyTude Yes neither of mine were over weight they are just big. One thing good though is I've seen some of the lighter ones that climbed up fences and things. Being bigger and heavier stops any of that. Neither of mine have ever seemed to want to run off. But I do keep a good eye on them. I never let them out unless I go too. I do have a secure fenced in patio that he can go out on by himself. I left a spot unpatioed and put horse bedding down for going to potty. Best thing I ever did. To go potty I just open the back door.

@@janetewing8910. Good idea! We had bells hanging from the back door. At 8 wks old, after only having her for a few days, she learned to ring the bells to tell us she wanted out but she was asking to go out every 20 minutes so the doggy door saved our sanity! She is a very independent girl and it works well for us.

😂😂😂😂. That hilarious!!!! Great story. Leksei is not a "counter surfer "but she can't be trusted with any stuffed animal toy. She does absolutely LOVE my homemade bread though. I mean like really obsessed with it. When she smells it baking she is in the house watching for when I take it out of the oven. 😂🐾💗

It's a love- hate relationship! The Husky loves to play with the cat and the cat hates that the Husky wants to play with him. 😂

When we come home, She always jumps up on her hind legs with her front paws on the edge of our kitchen table so she can give big kisses all over our faces. ( Fortunately her breath is quite nice!😄). The Chihuahua is always so excited and full of energy and she barks so loud that she comes off her front paws with each bark! It's ear piercing and quite annoying but i've tried for 12 years to get her not to do it and no luck. She's the perfect dog, except for those ear piercing barks. But as I understand it, that's what Chihuahuas are known for lol! Thinking back to the end of the movie called Beverly Hills Chihuahua, where the chihuahuas fight the bad guys and win with their mighty bark! Lol!
