Is the 90 watt solar power/ 2 AGM batteries sufficient to run the fridge if you don't have access to shore power? How long does it last?

*You forgot there are even more 'extra goodies' available, like additional 'PV' panels to boost the electric charging and an 'outside' movable panel to plug into the 'Zamp' fitting already in-place from the factory, and the 'Convection Oven' upgrade to the standard microwave for broiling/baking* *It's possible to 'boon-dock' for 2-weeks w/o any outside power coming in if water is used sparingly, like no 'dish-washing' and 'short showers'* ( *Get a small grill and cook outside w/it from your propane tanks...that solves the coach getting hot in summer using the range-top* )

The 16 ft Airstream has the best layout. I wish the 19 foot had the same layout as the 16 foot midel. 3 feet xtra space on each side would have so much room for a large bathroom in the center and that 3 foot on the kitchen side could be split up 2 foot for the kitchen and 1 foot more to storage. I hate how the larger models have the bed turned sideways with the bathroom squeezed next to it.

Beautiful trailer, AS could lighten it up a few hundred pounds by using a composite subfloor and not 3/4 inch plywood.

Yes, they are build in such a way that it is very difficult for mice to get in.

no propane on the fridge really reduces the dry camping ability, as that solar wont keep up for days with a dc drain from the fridge.

just got an reply back for $27,000:) They are NOT selling well like the HYMER also selling for 19,000 on average.These are listed on rv trader for 34,000 now, but sales are going to be 27,000!

I know the chrome exterior is the signature look of Airstream but the reflective nature of it can be annoying. I wonder why they don't offer something different.

Airstreams have become your grandpa's trailer of choice due to them being so "old school" in boring interior and exterior design. They're so boring looking on the inside for the outrageous price that Airstream charges.

Over the past 40 years we have owned 3 airstreams. No rv has ever been built like these from Jackson Center Ohio.

I would buy it right now but the only thing stopping me is that I am waiting for the Tesla pickup truck. Once you go electric you will never go ICE again.

Airstream of Scottsdale Yes I have and it looks pretty cool but there is one problem they just do not have the charging network that Tesla has.

That is a pretty major failing on their part. I spoke with one of the engineers from Rivian a few months back and he said they had no plans to adapt it to Tesla's charging network. The other problem I foresee with an all-electric tow vehicle is being able to charge while hitched up. It would be great to see pull-through charging stations someday!

With the release of version 3 of the supercharging system I think Tesla needs to add more pull through like they have in Europe. Another thing Tesla could do is make a extension cord for the supercharger they have done this for their semi truck.

I can tow for 600 miles with my f350 48g diesel tank, the tesla pickup probably wont have that range for another 10+ years. Charging the truck at the campground at night will be cool when the initial range is sufficient.
