I know you said you don’t really read horror, but you should put clown in a cornfield by Adam cesar on your fall tbr if you haven’t read it already. It is scary but not overly gory or disturbing-more like what I categorize as “fun” scary. And the vibes are IMMACULATE. Think the Midwest in the fall. It definitely gets me in the mood for fall.

I am halfway through - Just for the Summer - right now. Abby is a new author for me this year and I LOVE everything she has written. I also loved Divine Rivals and Ruthless Vows, the audiobooks were absolutely amazing. I am looking forward to - The Lost Story - by Meg Shaeffer. I loved The Wishing Game because of the Foster Care portrayal. We adopted both of our littles from Foster Care, so I loved that portrayal in the story since it doesn't occur all that often in fiction. I am looking forward to - The Games gods Play. The book is absolutely beautiful, so I hope the story is good.

My favorite book of the year so far has been The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Turton. I still have not watched The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes because I didn't really care for the book, but I love the other Hunger Games books 😅
