Can I run all 24 channels in DSP mode at the same time? If so how many plugins can each have? Or can I buy it and if the DSP isn't enough, then return it?

I would buy this just to put on my desk and get inspired. I don't even need to use it. This is one of the most beautiful pieces of gear that I've ever seen.

Listening on a pair of Pulsars, incredible listening.. and the 2000 seriously blew my mind.... the Upton and flea almost sounded like the compressor was working more, definetly sounded louder than the new made Elam, also they seem to have more energy in the low mids compared to both the new and the 2000 Elam, mix wise I guess that might add a bit more work.. Interestingly the low mids are closer on the warm to the latest revision than the Upton and Flea- Although the warm sounded quite horrible on the acoustic guitar takes... The GA is a lot closer to the 2000 revision in the high end for sure, more precence .. I did find it slightly harder to tell the differences in the male vocal.... Seriously blown away by the the warm considering the price difference.. I could go on! ... The acoustic guitar test I found the most revealing, although I'm wondering how much the placements affects this, cos here you could truly hear the difference between the mics.... All and all I really think the heiserman sounds the closest to the new revision, This is in the same price range as both the flea and Upton which sounded great, but to me they weren't as close!! And if you even bothered to read this, I wish you an amazing day and all the best microphones in the world!

I see the Labyrinth is sold out at the all the smaller retailers, even Perfect Circuit is out. People have also said they're selling their Spectrovox to get one. You are going to be popular as people are waiting. They'll find every video they can. :)

People talk about this all wrong. Analog summing is neither better or worse than digital summing. The real cool thing about analog summing is, that you can put am analog master bus compressor on the sum, that doesnt need another route of conversion. And also this master bus compressor will work with a very high quality signal, becouse the summed audio is still stacked on top of each other.

Man they’re all good. Overstayer is the fullest and roundest. TK had a great punchy mid thing goin’ on. But the Dangerous…it all felt complete. Hi-fi. Clarity in the lows, mids and highs. Honestly I wouldn’t poo poo that Warm either. For the money it’s killer

The R-10 is very nice, but the R-121 sounds beautiful. It's probably worth saving up another 300-400, for a second-hand R-121, if thinking about getting a new R-10. Unless you need a stereo pair, then the R-10s price is more attractive. But, for a stereo pair at that price range, for drum overheads say, there's also the Beyerdynamic M160, which is similarly priced. So, I think I'd choose a R-121 for close micing a guitar cab, paired with an SM57. Then get Beyerdynamic M-160 pair for drum overheads (unless you can afford a pair of Coles). AEA R-84 or R-88 are great for ribbon room mics. A collection of ribbon mics can be very a expensive thing to acquire!

To me the hardware sounds more open whereas the plugin (while amazing) is flatter sounding with a compressed mid range.

Listening in my car I hear no difference on all examples That’s where it matter most. Sure on your studio monitors in a treated room you’ll hear the difference but on consumer grade speakers I doubt you’ll hear the subtle differences Great job UAD

This was a really good shoot out. I know no two vintage 47’s will sound the same.. hardly, but it was still a good compare. I actually preferred the Flea on drums and guitar. Vocals were kinda even for me. The Flea has a tad more presence in the upper mids which for me was very musical. Thanks for this one!

There was a certain magic in the vintage U67 that the reissue didn't have, a saturation and warmth that it put in the sound captured. The U67 reissue sounded modern and cleaner.

Great vocal performance, but the mic is just not good for vocals. Too much clarity is sacrificed. It's great for smoothing something like a violin or trumpet, but it's seldom the case that vocals need to be smoothed in the same way. Vocals should keep their granularity, detail, and presence typically. Even if you are singing in a 'vintage' style and you want your vocals to sound warm. They still need to cut through, not be smoothed out.
