I've seen Nami Thu Kai jutsu, slowly I try to watch these demos gathering back the lessons. But it's really not the same as when I had the DVD. The swords are different, I always wanted to collect the catalogue sword I had my eye on then. Now there are questions being asked and answered. So I have one, it's about the triple cut from kesa the draw.

My next katana will be the hanwei practical plus katana . I love the sunburst tsuba ! Handmade sword company calls it the empire wheel . but either way its a kick ass katana . I do have a handmade bamboo warrior katana thats 1095 clay tempered from handmade sword and it really is a solid sword for 160 dollars . they couldve done a better job with linning up the mekugi pegs in the tang . but the tang of the sword is thick and its a longer tang and thats what I look for . I ordered another katana from longquan china and it was supposed to be damascus steel and when I got it I realized that it was fake damascus and the blade aint that thick on it and I paid 200 dollars for that sword and my 160 dollar handmade bamboo warrior katana is way more solid and tougher looking than the katana from china . if you cant afford to pay over 200 dollars then I would definitely reccomend getting a katana from handmade sword company . you can get them the cheapest on amazon . but I love my bamboo warrior katana . but I cant wait till I get my hanwei practical plus katana ! And I think that will be all the katanas that I'll have . I'll have 3 katanas and thats plenty for me . I just use them for home protection and thats it .

Well, in all fairness, the tatami is there to represent flesh. They use bamboo as a core to analog bone. But in some of his and Cold Steel's test I have seen them use wooden dowels as cores in their tatami rolls. But it is kinda' funny that he's watching a James Williams video on youtube and has as limited knowledge on the subject as he does. Haha. You're right though. They Are not soft by any stretch of the imagination.

It has the Density of human Bone. So Yes, It is That hard. And Its a Tatami Omote for Tamashigiri. Not a "Stupid Carpet thing."

just can't get past the traditional japanese 'skirts' and unnecessary cultural baggage, and the sword he is using has very thin geometry, it's a mat cutter, not something that would be used in actual battle, so cut the nipophile worship, it's not practical, just sayin
@KanekiKen-ib7jy5 жыл бұрын
It's not a skirt for it has two pant legs and the blade is not thin dude the a katana is pretty thick. But again ignorance.

I actually don't find him very tolerable, very showy, all advertising. Looks like a thinly disguised CAS Hanwei informercial

Well the reason that Lord of the Rings is so awesome is because Tolkien knew his history, and he recreated the mythology of the english speaking peoples of pre-christian Britain. Most Anglo-Saxon mythological epics and folklore are lost. The most popular remaining literature from these people is Beowulf. The real reason that LoTR is good is because the author was awesome and educated.

most.. omg, this is an old comment. ill answer anyway. most noto is done with the mune as you say, slides across the back of the hand at the place where your fingers meet the base of your thumb. For drawing, obviously, no skin touches the blade. there are kata where the sound of the sword being drawn is silenced by using the fingers to stop the blade rattling inside the saya but other than that...
@ShadrikEaston11 жыл бұрын
its actually surprisingly hard to cut. it doesnt feel like carpet when youre cutting it. it feels more like layers of wood :/ Its very easy to cock up a cut and/or with some blades, take a set. well worth giving a go.

I'm sorry but this is nonsense, there is no tehcnique no martial art behind what he is doing here. What is the point of this? Why are they wearing sunglasses? Why does the guys have a striped hakama? This is in no way a traditional Japanese presentation and this really made my day bad as I'm sad there are people out there who make this to a business.
