Touch, touch in the flame's desires Feeling the pain's denial And your fingers in the fire Look, look in the candlelight See in the flame of life And my spell is our lie (Chorus): Taste the love The Lucifer's magic that makes you numb The passion and all the pain are one You're sleeping in the fire Taste the love The Lucifer's magic that makes you numb You feel what it does and you're drunk on love You're sleeping in the fire I gaze and the flame and fire burn And cry out the name of which I yearn (Chorus) Taste the love The Lucifer's magic that makes you numb The passion and all the pain are one You're sleeping in the fire

Very interesting hearing some alternate lyrics. Still sounds really cool, good, sleazy, dirty.

@@maths0714Holy shit man sorry for the very late reply. I understand now and I am wrong die another day is the song that Olli Herman of Reckless Love sung when he was in the band I wasn't thinking at the time when i wrote this comment above us Dave never sung this it was H. Oliver Twisted I was new to this at the time and now I am not! LOL

@@discodalmatian3897 this one is Peter on the lead vocals, but Can Sense a Lie and Die Another Day is pretty much the same song

I was 19 when this album came out..I think it's one off the greatest hair albums ever from a band that was not a big name like motley crue or ratt..it's a class act..icy is one of the best songs..I'm 53 now and it still rocks hard..metal will never die ..from New Zealand banger

So happy to have rediscovered this amazing band! Thanks to you uploading and very generously linking Davy’s website! I absolutely loved this band and was lucky enough to see their first tour in the UK! Newcastle City Hall! Funnily enough I don’t remember who they we’re supporting, but they obviously blew them away! Thanks so much! I’ll be purchasing many memories from Davys site!

i love how bands like Vain sounded totally different from the mainstream Rock built up in the studios ....no glittering lights and shining sparkles around them and no pop rock ,to make your daughter dance happily in her room ...instead a smoky dark air , blue lights and vicious music with an enchanting voice ,which not only engaged your body ,but slipped right underneath your skin ...titillating your senses ,like a good rock band should do .....coz rock is Bad !

1989 in LA, singing in a rock band, dealing with heartache from a relationship i left in Miami, this was on constant replay. Vain was so underrated then. His voice was unique, the guitar was perfect and the songs catchy. I wore that cassette out. LOL

One of the most genuinely heartfelt songs to come out of the hair metal genre. Dylana’s solo still makes the hairs stand up on the back of my neck all these years later
