Sorry no. The SIYI system is open, the controller runs on Android and it uses MAVLink and SBus to communicate with the AutoPilot.

Not at all. Completely designed and built by SIYI, nothing to do with DJI. Runs on Android.

I've just used the Pi to forward the RTSP video feed. ArduPilot has a driver for the A8 Mini that means I can control it via RC or auto missions in ArduPilot. I've heard there are people out there who have written control software using the API but I haven't done it.

The switch is pretty tiny, the BotBlox switch and router are both about the same size, but the router (called DroneNet) can connect to a FC Uart via PPP which is also cool.

@@timtheplaneman I would just use a cell, configure it as a hotspot and tether to the router, then connect to the FC, camera, etc. (a generic solution, no need for the custom parts). Just an idea.

@@timtheplaneman Yeah nice, I hope that release also allows to use controls with the pad it self, so let's say you could play android games with joysticks and buttons, right now none of apps see the controls. Also a volume, is very annoying to be able to adjust it. Maybe m1 or m2 buttons could be the volume or something. While out of the app. Or on screen widget in tool menu would help. And be able to shut off the transmitter on controller so it doesn't try to search for air unit wasting power and getting radiation for nothing while using controller.

Interesting that the developers make the platform change to quad mode to gain altitude when needed IF the platform can go into another mode. Where an airplane would only have positive pitch and throttle for a correction. And the ability to understand the difference in different situations. Very intelligent programming. IMHO Love it.

Oh wow you are trying it. Thank you! The follow plane should adjust its speed automatically to the target plane, it uses AIRSPEED_MIN and AIRSPEED_MAX to set the limits. These should be set to the correct min/max that the plane can fly. max 30, min 10 but 2 plane flying 13 or 14 m/s speed. I am working on Gazebo Harmonic -Zephyr sitl model. I guess follower plane use leader plane speed. I want to detect the leader plane on the follower plane's camera. So I have to fly a little closer. The distance right now is 115m.
