I know what you mean, the one I never got was set 383 Knights tournament from 1979 to go with the yellow castle.
@supersonicmario5614 күн бұрын
Eh, I wouldn't hold too much against it, though it does seem obvious that their goal was to cram as many references to previous Rankin Bass specials as possible.
@Jaconey14 күн бұрын
Oh no I agree, I don't hold anything against it really, in fact I think winterbolt for the most part was one of the best villains they've had design wise. He was way better than the bad guy in shiny new year. As far as craming references to other specials in I think it's a shame that Yukon Cornelius was left out. I think he and Miss Lorraine would have really hit it off.

Maybe Billy sid had secret child I mean there was time skip between scream 1 and 2? Will scream 7 be mirror to scream 3? And alisha weir would be great choice as sid second daughter ?or do you think McKenna Grace is gonna be play sid 2nd daughter?And violet mcgraw from m3gan may be sid third daughter?

I love the volumes I've seen so far. Just wish they were annotated with all kinds of stuff like what paperback the strips appeared in, maybe explaining the historical context. The foreword itself is worth the price of the book.
@Jaconey2 ай бұрын
I agree, that is one of the best tings about the hardcover bloom county collections. It had margin notes for historical events when the strip got political, and notes from Berkeley Breathed telling behind the scenes stories.

I have to say, Lego has really come ahead on their instruction books. I remember the books from the 80s being the equivalent of laminated tissue paper.
@Jaconey6 ай бұрын
They also show what parts you need for each step, back in the 80's there's be 10 pieces to a step and you only knew by compareing the pictures. Like Where's Waldo.

I bought all mine either from amazon or off the shelf at barnes and noble severl yeras ago. I only had one set arrive dammaged and I sent it back for a replacement. So I was lucky there. So glad when I completed the set. It was great 'to be able to read the strips from before the 70's which I had not see before.

As far as things I'd like to see, I mean I have shows I'd always love to see reviewed but I'll hold off on any specifics till I get a feel for your style and your reviewing tastes, if you prefer to go in blind or if you were already a fan of a thing. They have several things they can do with this. Castle Ravenloft, Tiamat, the yawning Portal, a Baldor's Gate collection, a ten towns collection and that is just from the 5e campaign books. If they really want to push it they'll make it a "my First DM" set. make a special figure base and make a decent scale and now you are teaching kids to build their terrain.

The construct-o-mech is used but complete. I also will be doing a lot more Lego Videos. All together I forget how many sets I have planned, but it's in the ballpark of 20 new sets I have right now, and close to 40 opened sets ranging from 1981 to 2015. So I do hope you'll check back!
