Seismic getting an evee so easily made me mad as I spent way to much time trying to get an evee in pokemon red to cover the type disadvantage of my charizard as I have a stupid habit of matching everything and I was actually planning on being a fire type trainer but by the time I got over the habit I couldn't reset for a better starter like bulbasaur as I got a shiny charmander first try and I agree charizard is good but there are not many great grass types in kanto and my inner self stopped me from doing anything as I didn't know what a shiny was and by time I realized I had seen popular youtubers not being able to get it so it became a trophy to brag about with my friends😅

It's taken me days to finish this video since I've been busy but here are my thoughts(DISCLAIMER: I AM NOT A PROFESSIONAL POKEMON PLAYER SO DO NOT TAKE THESE AT FACE VALUE): In randbat formats, Leafeon functions as a very hard-hitting physical attacker so it can be useful with enough setup. Granted, it's ability is kinda middle tier and it doesn't have psuedo-legendary stats, but pop a Life Orb on it and get it to +6 Atk? Leaf Blade and Double Edge could potentially sweep. If you decide on doing an Eeveelution only run and want to use Leafeon, maybe this will help. Leafeon @ Life Orb Ability: Chlorophyll EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe Tera Type: Normal/Fire Adamant Nature - Swords Dance - Synthesis/Solar Blade - Double-Edge - Leaf Blade/Tera Blast(Idk if Terastallization is in Cobblemon though) In the harsh sunlight weather condition, Leafeon's Chlorophyll Ability activates, doubling its speed. It also increases the power of Synthesis, healing you more, and removes the two turn chargeup for Solar Blade.(Also getting a Jolly Nature on your Leafeon is insanely lucky) 57:45 Fun fact, Onix, who is known as the Rock Snake Pokemon, has been clowned on before for having 45 Attack, which is lower than an Oddish, a literal onion. 1:04:05 Grass resists Electric so either one of yours would have been a good switch in to Luxray even though you didn't know steel wasn't very effective against electrix, 1:06:22 if you look closely, you'll notice in the bottom right corner the "super effective" message didn't pop up. This is because the entire Aggron line is Rock/Steel. Rock resists Fire(1/2x damage) while Steel is weak to it(2x). These two cancel each other out and make the damage neutral(1x damage). Rock/Steel is a pretty bad typing with two quad-weaknesses, Ground and Fighting(4x damage) so it was pretty much a free 2HKO. 1:09:10 They should definitely allow you to be able to ride on Genesect and my only reason for this is the movie where Genesect and Mega Mewtwo have a showdown because Genesect transforms into this hoverbike looking thing. You guys should also consider adding a datapack or mod or just doing something that allows you to get Hidden Abilities on your Pokemon and be able to change them. Whether that be through breeding, Ability Capsules/Patches(Capsules for regular Abilities, Patches for Hidden Abilities), or just spawning one in. Most Hidden Abilities are extremely useful for any Pokemon(e.g. Speed Boost for Blaziken and Moxie for Quaquaval). 1:18:35 "You're fighting Bunnelby's, I'm fighting Lopunny's right now; I'm going hard" - Seismic, 2024 Getting a Mega Charizardite Y was a great call to start a sun team since you had so many Grass types. Most Grass types excel in harsh sunlight and as stated before, can make moves even more powerful. 1:28:20 All Eeveelutions share the same stats but moved around. Jolteon was built as a specially fast mon with only 65 in their HP stat. 1:29:10 Blastoise not being faster than Luxray meant that either Cappy made a Choice Scarf or he had at least 64 EVs in Speed to either beat you in a speed tie or completely outspeed you. 1:29:52 I wrote an entire play-by-play of how you could tank First Impression but then you actually _did_ it so I erased it to write this: Acrobatics did basically nothing because Acrobatics is only useful without an item. Any item on you reduces its power to a measly 55 1:32:35 most eeveelutions like Sylveon and Umbreon run stall moves like Wish and Protect so you could try using that in a later video 1:35:38 "I want to feel the wind in my hair" 1:36:00 that would be really fun to see I hope it's on the table for the future 1:51:10 Jolteon has Volt Absorb so it would've taken no damage from Luxray if you switched it in. You should also get comfortable with switching because it's a great defensive strategy to keep your team members alive longer by switching out weak Pokemon to ones that can tank the hit.

Also there's a character limit so the rest is here 1:56:27 While RNG plays a big part in most if not all battles, you got EXTREMELY lucky on this one. Some of your plays are very good considering the circumstance, but you need to use each Pokemon for what they're meant to be used for. Jolteon was really done dirty in this battle, mostly because its abiltity could've saved you a lot of effort had you just switched it in instead of Chesnaught. Also, some of the moves you have on each Pokemon won't even do much since almost all Pokemon excel in one or more stats and struggle in others. A prime example of this is Flamethrower on Blaziken, who is a mixed attacker but mostly uses Physical moves, Air Slash on Quaquaval, who has 120 in Attack and like, 75 in SpAtk, and Shadow Claw on Mega Charizard Y, who has 159 SpAtk and 104 in Atk, which is still respectable for an Atk stat but it's still better to replace it with Scorching Sands to cover your 4x Rock weakness instead of a random move like that. This is a good time to mention the age old saying, "You may have won the battle, but you haven't won the war," because you need to focus not just on getting your Pokemon higher leveled, but on getting the right moves for them so they actually stand a chance. 1:58:50 You guys could use a mod that adds TMs to the game since a lot of good moves for those Pokemon aren't learned by level up. Chesnaught, for example, functions as a Body Press spammer because of its high defense. So if you got it to learn Body Press and Iron Defense with max Defense EVs it goes from a cool starter to an offensive threat using Defense. 2:00:27 Lol you actually just used the moveset from the Sun and Moon anime that Proffesor Kukui's Incineroar had. Also as a WolfeyVGC watcher I am offended by that moveset. Oh yeah secret message is "I need to play more Pokemon Showdown." 2:06:25 why is it that when you saw a +SpAtk nature on your Empoleon your first instinct was to give it SWORDS DANCE?! Here's a Smogon build for Empoleon so you can see some of the moves it prefers over that: Empoleon @ Leftovers Ability: Competitive(raises SpAtk by two stages every time your stats are lowered by an opponent) EVs: 144 HP / 228 SpA / 136 Spe Tera Type: Fairy Modest Nature(+SpAtk, -Atk) - Surf - Ice Beam - Grass Knot - Roost 2:10:50 Seismic: *finds a Delphox Seismic: *has a very bad weakness to Psychic types Seismic: *sends in fighting type Also Seismic: *has a _DARK TYPE_ that is _IMMUNE TO PSYCHIC_ but _DOESN'T USE IT_ 2:16:56 Leech Seed will heal your whole team regardless of who used it. I'm pretty sure it's been like that since G/S, when it was introduced, so I don't know what Pokemon game Cappy has been playing. 2:20:30 this is getting painful to watch. Switching out Incineroar for Delphox is a bad play. Switch out Blaziken for Delphox to help your Fighting weakness not one of the Pokemon that bodies all Psychic types. 2:21:10 that's... actually a decent moveset for Delphox 2:21:36 I WONDER WHY YOUR +SPATK NATURE EMPOLEON WITH 2 PHYSICAL MOVES AND ONE STATUS MOVE THAT BOOSTS ATTACK ISN'T PERFORMING UP TO YOUR EXPECTATIONS SEISMIC! MAYBE INSTEAD OF SWITCHING WHIRLPOOL OUT FOR AQUA JET YOU SHOULD'VE KEPT ITS MOVESET AS IS. 2:22:12 remember when I said Delphox had a decent moveset? That was before I saw that you had given it Flame Charge and then instead of swapping that out for Will-O-Wisp, you swapped out Shadow Ball for it. My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined. You should've given Delphox a Choice Scarf and the move Trick so you didn't have to use Flame Charge. Trick would've gotten rid of the Scarf and locked whatever Pokemon Cappy had sent out into one move, which would MASSIVELY cripple his Golisopod if he brought it back. 2:29:00 it's amazing how all of Cappy's Pokemon problems could be solved by remembering the type chart. Like, you don't even need to memorize all of it just the basic weaknesses of each type. 2:36:34 you guys need to start using better coverage moves or else you'll keep going around in circles in future battles and you won't be able to learn how to improve your battling style 2:38:21 Delphox? Against a Basculegion? Yeah it _definitely_ won't die in one hit. It's not like it's weak to both of Basculegions types and you got rid of the only coverage move you had instead of a physical move that raises your speed. Also, Absorb Bulbs don't take the Water Attack. it only activates _if_ you get hit by a Water type attack, it does nothing to weaken it. If you wanted it to weaken the move you shoul've used a Passho Berry 2:41:38 YES! FINALLY! Using Incineroar is the best possible thing you can do. It has one of the BEST typings in the game for exactly the reason you put it in: to counter Fairy Types. 2:42:57 If you had found a Swampert and built it bulkily, giving it an Assault Vest, you would've had a WALL against Cappy's team, since he doesn't have any Ground types and you don't have to worry about switching out against Luxray. 2:49:48 Seismic: "I know the difference between Physical and Special Attack" Empoleon: 2:51:10 wow you actually found one. I wonder how you'll use him in the little time you have left 3:05:41 Great battle. My only complaint is that you didn't use Incineroar sooner. He was a better choice than Charizard for Typhlosion and he resisted Phantom Force if Cappy ever clicked that. 3:06:30 Empoleon learns Ice Beam, which is great for its +SpAtk nature and its high base SpAtk stat. 3:10:00 ... Yeah I'm still pissed at your build for your Empoleon. It's not even your fault he just has a bad moveset by leveling up, but I still think you guys should add TMs to the game 3:13:20 Absorb bulb only works on _super-effective_ Grass type attacks 3:14:16 Cappy: "I don't think anyone on your team is immune to Will-O-Wisp" Seismic with 2 Fire types on his team: Cappy who KNOWS THIS because he's battled him 7 TIMES in his head: 2:14:43 Electro Ball is more powerful the faster you are than your opponent. It's not priority but like, come on. Who needs priority when you outspeed your opponent? 3:30:44 Excellent battle. Great defensive and offensive plays on your part. And the Incineroar play was a really cool niche way to use him 3:39:44 I was kind of shocked you chose Low Sweep over Close Combat but it is a useful move to make you faster than your opponent is. 3:43:23 I'm wondering if Cappy got a Toxic Orb, which is what most Gliscor have in competetive formats. It needs the Ability Toxic Heal though 3:49:27 First battle was pretty rough for you. I don't understand _why_ you didn't immediately use Dragon Breath instead of switching out though. Charizard has 20 points more in their Speed stat so it would've been okay to stay in and kill it. 3:54:33 Great match this time. And using Chesnaught as a stall Pokemon at the end was brilliant. 3:55:56 Seismic every battle: "Please tank" Seismic when he sent Quaquaval out: "Please Tank" Also Seismic earlier in the video: "Quaquaval is a glass cannon" 3:58:10 Great job in the battle at the end. If you had just used Shadow Claw the moment he sent out Gardevoir then it would've been at least a 3HKO Awesome video Seismic. Watching this was one of the most frustrating and fun times of my week. Even though you're not the winner, you probably learned a lot from this one. Also if you actually read your comments you will reply with a message that's somewhere in this comment or else you admit that Cappy is the best trainer in the world.
