These enigmas of music need to share more of their experiences. Take the narrative away from the violence and horrible culture around hip hop

That pretty much sums up Miles. He made the wrong seem right a lot. In fact, he proved the wrong could be reshaped as right and so it was no different. Right/wrong at the same time.

His solos are, creativity speaking, a quite a lot of a mediocrity stuff. As for his harmonic approach to the jazz language, it is a big and round “zero”. Oh, forgive me: he is actually a smart actor who knows the right time for his moaning and dancing showtime

Keith is amazing... wish they could somehow scrub out his voice in the background during his solos, it's pretty distracting.

I think that just listening to Keith Jarrett trio is not enough. One has to watch them but particularly Keith as he plays with whole his body. Watching this is as fascinating as listening to their the music

I have the live CD recording of God Bless the Child, at a slightly faster tempo, which I never tire of. I’m a lifelong rock fan, not jazz, but it absolutely ROCKS. Rock is in the feeling, not the volume.

Jack's drum solos begin around the 34:00 mark, and then again at the 55:30 mark, for those of you searching for them! The call-and-response section of Stella starts at about 1:23:30. Keith's shoulder shrugging dance peaks at about 1:33:57. One final excellent drum solo at 1:34:50.

Just came across this gem...wildly fascinating and shows Bela Fleck's genuine desire to engage with the world. Especially places we don't usually think about or have been marginalized as Progress rules our lives. Akin to Paul Simon's Graceland experience.
