I have always had a problem with the way things are in mexican television. Luigi, the gay, as the butt of the jokes, the sexist overtones, with them still talking about women in the work place and having a problem with women in managerial positions. It's sad.

Someone please tell me which is better, La Fea Mas Bella or Yo Soy Betty La Fea? Also, how come I can't find the original columbian version ANYWHERE with english subtitles?

Yo Soy Betty La Fea definitely. The actors were really great. I have seen the American, Mexican, Russian, and Spain version and IMO no one can beat the original Colombian version. You can watch the original YSBLF in channel bettyenglish (well, actually, the sub missing a lot, but at least we can understand what they're saying, and can follow the story) or in site claudilla83.tumblr.com, it has very detailed eng sub but it just until episode 25 (the blog owner still working on the project). Hope this will helps, although I answered very late

que manera de ridiculizar los personajes orijinales, cero seriedad, cero realismo, que economista con tanto estudio tiene un tic tan ridiculo, Armando era histerico no un bufon de circo, bety era fea y timida no torpe e infantil.........pero bueno, tanto tiene la culpa el indio como el que lo hace compadre.....que fatalidad de telenovela, para nada aspiracional, es como ver un programa de Eugenio Derbez i la parodia de la original jajajajaja

I don't think she's that ugly she just dresses weird and always has the same hairstyle. I think they exaggerate sometimes with the being scared when they look at her picture and saying she scares people of. I'm not sure if that would happen in real life where they would fire her because of the way she looks like they did in the past job Lety had.

The director or producer died and they had to sorta rush the ending with her transformation of her look in the end I think it would of lasted more episodes if the director or producer didn't pass away.
