Hey! For a while I have been trying to get that "double hits" that give that like rolling sound (not sure if it that made sense) but yeah pointers to achieving it other than "just practice" I see that you basically just do like a "drum roll" type of beat. Up down up down really quickly in the same spot.. anything else?

yeah it is four hits, three on the edge and one on the bass(Center). Practice for clean hits. Depending on the head cantor of your church, you could add more stuff.As long as it doesn't take away the purpose of the Songs, which is to proclaim the songs, the drum only helps out. Other than that, the drum is a beautiful instrument. If you respect it and patience, you will get a beautiful sound.
