I used to go through Centralia quite often during the 70's, 80's, and 90's. It was a busy little town back then. The Speed Spot was right on the corner before you would head up the hill towards the cemetery. I would travel that road twice a week or at least to Mt. Carmel. Before it was Graffiti Highway it was just Rt. 61 that had a ton of smoke coming out from the roadside. After they closed that section I started using 901 from Mt. Carmel to go to Reading. Just seemed a lot quicker?

Now if you are a flat earther please do a flat earth and globe earth model of a sunset, moon phase, lunar/solar eclipse, 24 hr antarctic sun and a five point sun angle experiment to see which matches reality and explain. I was looking to go if it was going to be a long term eruption like in 2021 but had a gut feeling it would be short lived. The reducing SO2 readings kind of tell when the eruption would end. I need at least a 12-14 day lead time. When I went to see Mauna Loa in Dec 2022 flights and hotels were booked for 12 days straight. I got there a day after the eruption ended. I saw some residual glowing lava flows from Saddle Rd that was it.

wonder how long it'll be before the down dropped block is totally filled in.... or will the weight cause another collapse
@volcanoimage6 күн бұрын
Down dropped block has a long time to before being covered. With a sustained long term eruption it would take a year or two to reach it. Summit eruptions since early 2023 were short lived. It could be possible that the shear weight of the erupted lava since 2020 maybe redirecting magma to the rift zones as there were eruptions on both rift zones in the last 6 months. If this continues especially further propagation magma further down the rift zones as in 2018 it could result in a collapse.

At the beginning of this video you stated that there was a very little crime. We live here in Hawaii. I'm a retired policeman. The government here hides the crime statistics from the people. Somebody is murdered and assaulted or stabbed or shot nearly every single day. They hide the numbers because they don't want to scare away the tourists because that takes away their money. Super corrupt here. Almost third world country cartel Mexico corrupt. Sorry to burst the bubble. Aloha.

Thanks for the info. I was stationed in Hawai'i from '99-03. I am aware that Hawai'i has it's fair share of crime. I would be interested in the true stats for the state in general as well as from each island. I have also been a frequent visitor there too mainly the Big Island for the past twenty and never encountered a problem maybe I was just lucky. I have seen my fair share shady folks there as well. The one thing I don't like about Hawai'i is it so anti gun and gun control laws target law abiding citizens not criminals. If everyone was strapped I bet that crime rate would drop fast.

I ran for state senate a couple years ago. Unfortunately we learned a little too much about our government. Stuff you wish you could un-know. There is no rule of law here. They don't honor any of your constitutional rights. And as long as you give the cops enough overtime and or money, they'll abuse and violate every one of those rights. That's why we're finally leaving. There is no life liberty and pursuit of happiness that's given to all Americans. Its our god-given constitutional rights. But if you don't have the ability to defend yourself or protect your family. You no longer live in a free country. Just saying.

@@volcanoimage I know, I was there when it paused, kinda, on the livestreams. I'm hoping this becomes a pattern. Kilauea has been rather quiet this year after all the large eruptions last year. The two eruptions earlier this year were rather minor. I'm also in a way glad an eruption happened here over Christmas and not in Iceland. See, the last eruption in Iceland was expected more this time of year, which would have meant it would have been larger, in the 80 to 90 million cubic meter range.

Google “rimmed kettle lake formation”. This is a similar scenario that is the most likely answer in my opinion. A large chunk of ice (similar to an ice burg) from the glacial period sat here with a lot of sediment in it. As the ice melted, the sediment gathered around the edges. It left a depression with sediment around the edges. Almost everything we see on the surface in Michigan is a result of glacial activity.
@volcanoimage16 күн бұрын
That is an interesting theory, thanks! Considering how thick the ice was over 12000 years ago I wouldn't rule that out. I have a hard time finding info about this structure. There are only a couple of webpages on it and a another YT video on it.
