@@danielcharlton4025 I’d say it’s fairly easy but depends on your own ability/strength 🏄🏼♂️ Wouldn’t let it stop you from giving it a go could be worth getting a lesson or renting one to see how you get on 🙌🏼

@ No worries! 🙌🏼 Not really this one is probs my main tip/beginner type video. I have loads of general SUP videos on my channel with a few tips here and there but not many dedicated to just hints/tips 🏄🏼♂️ I did film one the other day though a ‘common mistake’ type video so keep an eye out for that one soon! 👌🏼

Another great video Matt, Thanks 👍. Remember doing a mile swim race there a few years ago , nightmare we were so late to start the tide was turning . 😂. Don’t forget you have Osea island & Northey island / both covered by the tide , my grandmother lived on osea island for many years.

@@MorewithMat I kayak regularly in fact yesterday I kayaked through a group of 6-7 swans with no incident. On a serious note did you google their behaviours, that tail wag was them showing no intent on attacking.

@@ff56hs fair play you’re a brave man! 🦢 Of course I have gone past swans with no issues, but have also quite literally been attacked before 😅 Do you think swans feel less threatened by kayakers as they are much lower and look smaller in the water? Tail wagging or not, its other body language I was more concerned about 😅

Great video, would like to do some wild camping myself, newbie with paddleboarding just got mine August. Ive used a jet boil for a couple of years now, never used a lighter as i found the built in ignition works well and Ive never boiled water with the lid on 😂

@@MorewithMat Thanks, I am getting a paddle board myself, I used to canoe and I had a dry suit and couldn't get on with it at all as my clothes would get just as wet when it was raining due to sweat that I might as well have just let them get rained on.

Ive patched a flag onto that bag for each country its been to with me 🇧🇬 Me and a friend went on a hiking trip about 6-7 years ago trying to climb the highest mountain in Bulgaria (Musala) via a 3 day 2 night hike. Lets just say we were vastly under prepared and the taxi dropped us off at the wrong starting point which meant we got slightly lost following the wrong path. Planned to wild hammock camp but were higher than the tree line so had to sleep on a ground sheet with an emergency shelter over us with the temperature dropping to -2 degrees C over night! ❄️ Basically, didn't make it to the top, nearly died and wish I videoed the trip it was one hell of a (failed) adventure! ⛰ Still got it on the list to go back and give it another try! And yes we did have bear scarers with us! 🐻

@@Systemv1 yeh defo not the best from what I’ve read! 🤮 This is around Mersea Island so is salt water. I know it looks dirty as hell but the windy conditions and in coming tide chopping up the muddy sea bed makes it look a lots worse than it is 🌊 (I hope 😂)

Haven't used mine this year, but I definitely find it more comfy than a mat on the floor in a tent. I found that an underquilt was a great addition last year.
