Great questions! In Quaternity the moment it is a checkmate on the board then the king is dead. So we don't have to wait until we are round to Black. For Qn 2 the black queen can take the white rook in this instance so its not a checkmate. Thanks for your questions :)

Hi! In "traditional" 4-player-chess there's a very high emphasis on opposite cooperation in the 4-player stage. How viable is such a strategy in this one? I.e., white and black simultaneously attacking red (essentially temporarily unifying their armies).

Puzzle 1: 2 questions. After green moves that bishop, it is whites turn and their queen could block the checkmate on E8. Would it still be a cheackmate even though is not blacks turn yet? Second: what about green rook on I9 to C9? Black king can't eat because it's protected by white queen. Alternative Checkmate?

Congrats to the team for this great improvements. Rating I think is a very important feature, could you be able to filter by rating, create >x rating for example? Also I hope rating doesn't hold people back to play (we get attached to everything...). Excited to try it. For the next update I think it will be very helpful to have a proper Study Board, with the rules applied and a move history... a few arrows would be awesome also.

A primeira forma do puzzle 1 acho que não seria mate, pois o cavalo poderia se interpor entre a rainha e o rei, apenas a segunda forma mesmo.

Um dica para adicionar uma dificuldade maior a resolução do problema é só dizer que existe mate em 1 lance, mas não falar qual peça joga. Aí, a pessoa tem que descobrir o lance e qual cor joga.

1 option with same result: Black Q. from I8 to D8 .... isn't it ???!!

That's true, i think any move that black does to protect the red queen. I3 is an option too. But one thing to have in mind is what happen after the checkmate. As black queen is in the line of the red queen, red queen can eat the black queen in the next move, so it's better to move in a place where it'll be protected. On I3 or D8, red eats the black queen for free, but on i1 the green horse, which will become black, will protect the black queen, so red doesn't have a free queen anymore.

1 observação…. Não interfere na solução, mas no 1o desafio do puzzle #3, os 2 bispos das peças brancas estão nas diagonais brancas (B9 e J9), o certo não seria 1 se mover pela diagonal branca e outro na fileira preta? .. ou estou enganada? … Tô curtindo … Abraços!!

Oi Maria Paula, é verdade! Normalmente temos dois bispos na mesma diagonal quando conquistamos outro exército, mas não é o caso porque todas as cores ainda estão no tabuleiro. Uma opção seria que o branco promoveu um peão, mas também parece improvável. Acho que talvez teve um pequeno erro na construção do puzzle! Mas como você disse ele não afeta o resultado final! Muito legais os puzzles né? Também me divirto
