Wonderful as always, Michael! I have been trying to order one of Jim Patton’s banjos but cannot seem to find a contact for him. Is he no longer building them?
@trevorleat89062 ай бұрын
Unfortunately he has retired......
@michaelmeadeКүн бұрын
Yes. He had to retire from building due increased costs of materials. I might have been lucky to have gotten one of his last ones.

I was lucky to find one of his last banjos too, a tubaphone style as he'd used up all the Whitechapel tone ring. Still has a nice tone though! 👌@michaelmeade

Wished and hope you could play this slowly so I could learn. Hard to find tenor banjo tunes let alone learn to play tenor banjo! Great song

You can install an app called slower downer or somthing like that which will slow down videos for you. This was in a funny key so you might want to change the key in the app to suit standard tuning.

Which case do you use for your lenses? Looking into buying one too.
@michaelmeade11 ай бұрын
I got the case custom made. It was an old case for video lights and I made out dimensions and sent to a fabricator.

Great playing. Love this tune, and you render it very well. A better reverb patch would elevate this great piece. Your playing is of a much higher quality than the reverb plug-in/patch which detracts rather than flatters.

Thanks for the feedback. This was just a home recording with a garage band reverb plugin.

Great sound, well played....does the banjo have that lovely bass sound when not plugged in? I use to play the banjo and never knew if it was the make of the banjo itself or the amp
