What a great discussion. Conceptually having a DA sounds great. Although, I agree with Bill on implementation of a DA. It sounds great but I'm concerned, like Bill, about the scope of individual members in smaller organizations. It definitely sounds like a risky maneuver to implement when it comes to work-life balance. If balanced incorrectly output of the high value individuals on the DA could suffer. In smaller organization, that drop in output could have some salient repercussions. However, implemented correctly you could end up with a happy cohesive team and a beautiful decision log. I appreciate your tips on how to "start" a DA.

If any External systems want to subscribe to Salesforce platform events then they have to use CometD javascript library and listen to the specific platform event's channel. Every platform event has a separate channel name. In this case it would be <instanceurl>/event/<platform event api name> and before that the external system has to made a successfull handshake to salesforce i.e authenticate via any authentication flow. without authentication anyone cant come and say i have cometd library and i want to listen ur events

web server flow is not the only oauth 2.0 authentication flow for outbound calls. We have username password flow, client credentials flow, JWT bearer token flow as well

for the genysis system question why use platform ervent and publish case id. Instead cant we use change data capture or outbound message. Using CDC we can send all of the case information in one go and the external system wont have to query the case again from saelsforce.

Java applications can directly subscribe to platform events published from salesforce by help of cometd library. Mulesoft is not mandatory in this case in think

This is so outdated! You should not run org based delopment that forces you to use git as any tooling for organing your sandboxes and environments. The only correct way going forward is package based devlopment and trunck based git strategy. Even larger monorepos containg multiple packages is fine. The problem is that all these companies that try to get you pay for their toolings don't want you to go package based as it ruins the market for them. I'm a Tech Lead and the Team Leader for our Platform Team in one of the larges SF customer in Norway with more than 12000 users and the wholw Norwegian populain as our community users. We have 5 product team delivering and deploying new featers multiple times daily to our production with no problems.
