This is a terrible feature that is more annoying than helpful.

Now this is the kind of video I like. The gentleman gets right to the point in one minut saving stress and time! I know when I want to solve a problem, the last thing I want is someone explaining how it works, what it does, where it was made, who invented it, will it fit in a Tesla or cut my grass on a Thursday! In fact I even wrote too much to read right now! 😅 Thanks Toilet Pro!!!

Awesome! This thing has been making a high pitched wet hissing noise and after taking a close look I saw water coming out from around it. Your video came right up and this was the exact problem. There were a few larger grass like bits in there. How the hell that gets into our water pipes! You'd think it would be better sealed and filtered. Oh well, thanks a bunch for the $0.00 repair.

Does the same technique work on a non-fluid master valve assembly?

I didn't replace the clip and now the float box slides up and down and has fallen to the bottom and won't stay up and now I have a shallow water level and it doesn't flush strong enough !! what can I do ?
@jwhit31995Ай бұрын
Will this help raise the water level in the bowl as well or just the tank? The screw itself is not adjusting the level in the bowl

I just replaced a fill valve with a fluidmaster arhrk fill valve. it runs for a few seconds every 30 seconds to fill. I can't figure out which way to adjust this

I really thought I was going to break the cap off, but it finally came loose with enough effort. I did two flushes just in case, and then everything worked perfectly. Thank you!

Thank you so much for such informative video. My old toilet is 20+ years old and I was super frustrated that all the videos I watched in the last hour were talking about “adjusting the screw” attached to the fill valve. Guess what? There isn’t one on mine. After seriously considering to replace the fill valve, I landed on your video and it only took 10 mins to fix and adjust the fill valve height. Thank you again for saving me and my family’s sanity😊

Did he mention that you should turn off the water to the toilet before taking the cap off, because, if you don't that's how you get a surprise spray to the face!

After spending an hour watching various videos to fix a continuous overflowing issue. I was ready to go out to Home Depot to replace the fill valve. Watching this informational video helped me understand that the fill valve height can be adjusted as well and saved me a trip. Thabnk you!

Perfect! I had fought with a sticking float on this thing before but I couldn't work out how to disassemble it - it's all made of brittle feeling plastic and I was worried about breaking it. I followed your steps and no force was required. One note is, if you have larger hands, you might find it nearly impossible to grasp the pipe because (in my case) this was paired with a very large plastic central column which is entirely in the way. I was _just_ able to get a sufficient grip, but meaty hams might need to borrow someone smaller - or work out how to remove that central unit too. As a last note - when I had the top off I was able to drop the float right to the bottom, and I immediately found damage to the plastic pipe - a small part has been shaved flat except for a small nub right in the middle. I suspect this is what it was catching on when the cistern did not refill. I shaved it down using a Stanley knife blade, pulling away from the sharp edge to avoid it digging into the plastic and making new problems. I finally sprayed the entire thing with silicon spray... hopefully that'll be it solved for a long while now!

Thank you for the useful information. I tried adjusting the long screw on the float cup, but needed less water in the tank. It wasn't until I found this video that I figured out that the shaft needed to be rotated for major adjustment. Very helpful video indeed!

I know this video is 7 years old, but I have the Fluidmaster fill valve too and after I popped the white plastic piece up (that was difficult enough in itself), I couldn't move the gray piece up and down at all no matter how hard I pulled. Tried turning it and twisting but no luck. Ended up putting it back together and the water line was still low. If anyone else has this issue and figured it out, let me know please!

After spending an hour, following directions on the Fluidmaster package, doing some improvising and cussing, I finally decided to check KZbin. Your wonderful video enabled me to complete the job in less than five minutes. I had been on the point of calling a plumber who would have charged me who knows how much. You certainly made my day!

An easier way is simply pull the ring up and then pull the shaft up and down, and then push the ring back in place.

Hey stupid 💩 !!! at what height do you set the toilet valve ?? How high or how low ???? At what position !!??!! The line on the valve at the top of the gray tube that has a C by it !! should be 1 inch above the top of the overflow tube !!!!
