Hi. My steering handle is backwards.I guess it was made that way, so u can do fishing from the back of the boat and be able to steer it while there, So if I install a raymarine, my boat will wanna steer the opposite direction of what raymarine is trying to turn. Do you have any idea if there is a setting or adjustment for that?

The easiest fix is to put a forward extension to the steering handle and put the autopilot there; but maybe it is a better choice to ask Raymarine directly, maybe you only need to invert actuator wires.

I understand the lower curvature of the lower side panel (follows the shape of the bottom). But how "did you get" the upper curvature. And is the lower curvature of the upper side panel just follow the upper curves of the lower panels ? My guess is no.., since the two panels are bent very differently.

Grazie! Ho usato il software gratuito Virb Edit della Garmin che puoi scaricare qui: www.garmin.com/it-IT/p/573412 A parte questo, ti basta avere oltre al video, un tracciato gpx della regata (che puoi registrare anche con un telefono).

@@andreabiggi9935 l'unica cosa che cambia rispetto ad usare la loro cam, è che devi sincronizzare a mano la traccia gpx col video; ma ti basta fare un cenno alla videocamera quando inizi a registrare la traccia, così sai esattamente quando parte ;)

first time build here, got the stitching in place, what glue do i use to seal the joints, or is this done with an epoxy resin, if resin, will any type be okay ?? thanks

It is epoxy resin mixed with microbaloons; I think you can use other types of resin, but it's better to use epoxy to increase curing time

hi! i noticed you like technology and racing. im about the same. i am interested in collecting sea talk data plus pitching, rolling and heel angles for studying a little bit our sailing performance... plotting that data over the course of a race. do you know if something like this already exists or it requires building? thanks!

Hi, sure, there is the software garmin virb; but you need to have a gpx. If you have nmea data I wrote a software for creating gpx from it

Gran bella barca... certo a vele bianche e con una mano di terzaroli scendere è lunga, ma con equipaggio ridotto meglio navigare in totale sicurezza

Hey bro, i love this. Im a kiwi, im on our South Islands east coast. We got lava flow reefs just off shore, real close in. Im 58 now, not as fit as i could be, so i thought, make a boat, so i can rest when snorkelling for Paua, abalone, snorkel only 4 them, plus we git monster kina(sea urchin) size of a soccer ball, big delicacy here. I told my builder bro next door, im gonna build a boat, wanna help, he says, ive built 3 already!, nice simple design. Thank you.

Check also BBN Marine OS for raspberry pi4. Many free and opensource boat software packages preinstalled.

Nice work!! @5.22 I can see the ST interface and the PI (looks like an older one) and one board that I can´t identify, is that an opto coupler? It does not look like you connect the ST interface directly to the PI, so what is that board in between?

yes, it is an optocoupler; the circuit schematics is here: pysselilivet.blogspot.com/2020/06/seatalk1-to-nmea-0183-converter-diy.html anyway, at the same price of my project, you can buy this multiplexer: www.vela-navega.com/index.php/multiplexers It doesn't have nmea logging like my project, but you can connect a laptop and log there. And you can also send ST commands to old Raymarine autopilots
