I’m crying right now bkuz I think my English bulldog might have this problem he doesn’t wanna stand or really walk he just lay there and I just don’t what to do. Today my vet is closed so I have to wait til tomorrow and I lost my job three months ago and I can’t afford to pay bills and I can’t afford to help my baby. So I got a credit card from a company so I can take him to the vet tomorrow . I feel you pain man. I can’t stop my mind wondering I don’t wanna lose my baby I don’t wanna put him to sleep worthier he is barely 3 yrs old and as a man I don’t wanna show my stress to my wife or son but the pain is setting in and I losing it alone .

Resource guarding (what the dog is doing). We avoid this by making our dog work for the food as a pup and practiced taking it away from him while he was eating, including our kids. He’ll display resource guarding behavior with other dogs but not human members of the family, I’m cool with that. He’s a Cane Corso also lol. Great dogs.

I have this same issue with my little male dog, but it is usually over space and his woman (my small female dog). He is getting a bit grumpier in his older age, but he still knows who his daddy. It is a bit different having a dog the size of a large mastiff. You can't just grab them by the snout, or their neck and roll then onto their side so easily. I love how he talks to the dog instead. They are more sensitive than people realize and will acquiesce, just like this big boy did, which is hilarious.

I can't help but to think the dog is really cute even angry lol, but I've watched enough videos right now to know that he's not playing

many animals including dogs eat their food in private and poop socially. this behavior is not understood by humans innately because humans literally do the opposite! this dog is not being an alpha. you'd do the same if someone barged in on you during your private moment.
