@@matttrevers2552 yes i did, and what i saw and metioned in my comment that you failed to read, was the action of the cyclist turning out towards the car when he was passing creating the close pass. Unfortunately for the car driver he has no control over the actions of the cyclist however dangerous the cyclist wants to ride, but at least the car driver made his initial pass at a reasonable distance regardless of the cyclists dangerous riding. The trouble with youtube commentors is often they fail to see the whole story, just as you have.

Exactly, cars, lorrys, buses, vans, even bikers know that you follow the course of the road keeping left at all times. But not this guy who feels that the road is his playground to ride wherever he wants to, then blame everyone else for his stupidity.

The cyclist had already passed the stop line before the light turned red.

@@ryanford5387 -There is no stop line. It is long gone. The car went through at amber and the cyclist at red.

@@anochmor You can see/guess where the stop line would have been. The cyclist was on the markings defining the crossing when the light turned red, and so wouldn't have been stopped in an appropriate place.

@@ryanford5387 -Then he should have stopped. .....Amber=prepare to stop....Red= you must stop......Green = you may procede but only if it is safe and reasonable to do so.

@@anochmor amber prepare to stop yes, however since they had to move around the other cyclist it's perfectly possible they didn't see. Either way they still didn't run the red light as you said at first

The vans blocking the footpath though, so kids with bikes, parents with pushchairs or wheelchairs would have to go in road. Your pot kettle comment is like those justifying speeding 'because rich people do it'. The point of the vid is just calling out something that's wrong and I'm sure the guy isn't claiming to be perfect.

the trouble is you can't get these cyclists to take any "retraining/education".

@@ryanford5387 The cyclist in front of him is doing it correctly - use that as a reference. It's obvious they went through a red light. The cyclist is ignorant and deluded to think he was the one in the right here.

@@StevenScoular The cyclist in front has also passed the stop line - you can see this from the fact the front of their bike is on the part of the road marked for the crossing. The cyclist with the camera was at a similar point when the light changed to red, meaning they had passed the stop line at the point the light turned red so didn't run the red light.
