This is the most tedious fucking movie I've ever watched. Longest 1 hour and 13 of my life, literally torturous.

I watched the movie on the internet archive! I’m pretty sure you can watch it on there, not sure if it was available later but now it is. Hopefully this helps you watch it! :)

The German colony in Chile itself is dark, it has that ascetic appearance of hospitals, the silence and apparent calm of asylums, it is a form of terror. Child abuse, slave labor, incest and surveillance so no one can escape. Cases that judicially led to nothing. Here in Latin America there are many German colonies like this one, ghostly reflections of a Nazi Germany veiled by Dirndl and Lederhosen for Oktoberfest. Not that all German immigrants are Nazis, but many Nazis were welcomed here during and after the war and survived in closed colonies, sometimes with a facade of religious worship.

Great movie, I wasn't very scared watching It but felt a constant discomfort, like something really bad was happening but I couldn't tell exactly what It was. The animation is simply amazing and the mix between 2D and 3D animation works extremely well building this unsettling environment. After watching and understanding the story behind It, It made more sense, and the movie looks even more sad now. Actually, I think I felt sad more than scared watching It, because the entire atmosphere of the movie is disturbing but above all else extremely melancholic. The movie is really good!!! :)

I loved it my first watch. The technical aspect of it is just incredibly good, really nice to pay attention to. Then I learned about the history behind it and it became so horrifying. Fucking brutal really. I don’t even know if i’ll ever be able to watch it again lol

The trailer doesn't do justice to the art. As an (amateur/hobbyist) artist it was mind-blowing to watch and just think "you can do that?" Very inspiring, challenges the boundaries of film and visual art. This isn't a movie, it's filmed art. I can't explain it better than that, but if you watch it you'll understand
