Absolutly wonderfull. La direction est parfaite et permet l’ exécution exacte des nuances indiquées par Britten. Merci!

Starting at 3min, this would be absolutely brilliant as a piece for brass. When you hear 70 horns break loose with choral arrangements for brass, it can bring on goose bumps even when it's 85deg!

This is a very challenging choral arrangement by Debussy, and it was very well done. Also, there are nice young voices. Bravo!

I think there are certain signature dischords which have a direct tearduct effect, in whatever context... I have sung this with two amateur choirs and in both cases the first rehearsal was difficult-- we all choked up...

I got to watch this live from our schools advanced choir and it was absolutely amazing. During the clapping parts the choir would stomp instead and it was loud and chaotic and violent just like what the song is about. The lights person would even flicker the lights a bit when that would happen. Every rendition of this piece is great but I don’t think it will ever match hearing it live with the stomping and lights.

A nice piece of music. Played and sung very good. And even a greater work regarding to the conductor making a race in front of the musicians. Hey, good boy! Calm down. Half of the beats will do VERY fine. THAT is the music.

Magnificent! The balnce between vocals is exactly on point (so many choirs are soprano-heavy)! The dynamics are also very much on point, and that's no small achievement even for a world-class chorale. To be able to make those crescendos and decrescendos have the necessary contrast isn't easy without a very large chorale. My sincere, deep compliments and admiration! This may be my favorite recording of Lauridsen's masterpiece!

I sang this when I was in a youth girls choir. I can't remember how old I was, 13-17. Our choir director loved having performances, and our church had 5 choirs! In one performance we did, we were up in the balcony of a church, and there were other choirs on the main level. We were the "angels" who sang from above ! :) I'm now 72 and I still remember some parts of some of the songs we sang from the Ceremony of Carols. It was a beautiful experience! They all were, and I feel very blessed to have been able to participate in all the beautiful songs we sang!
